Saying, "Oh well, bias is human nature" is just a cowardly way to redirect accountability and avoid putting any effort into altering your mindset.

So... what does this have to do with anything?
That part of your posts is confusing and I see no correlation between it and anything else here.
Were you confused by the point itself or by the word "bias"? By "bias" I just meant "generalization" (thought admittedly that's not a very accurate synonym, seeing as bias has a mainly negative connotation, whereas generalization could go either way).
Also in your last post you said that blanket generalizations were a common occurrence in the world and that they held truth, which made it seem you were saying that just because hasty generalization is a common logical fallacy in humans that it's okay to stereotype people, which I don't agree with.

I didn't say it was okay. I said it's going to happen and you have no power to stop it.
It doesn't matter if you disagree with it, as you can't keep others from not doing it.
I do, however, have the power to live by my own ethics and make my opinions heard when the subject arises. I'm also capable of encouraging people to be more open minded, though of course no human being can be forced to internalize something they have no belief in.

/sigh

Sorry, the way you stated it reminded me of something else and I went off like an idiot.
Lol it's alright, I chuckled a little.

I believe on the whole we have similar opinions, which makes this whole thing an exercise in futility.

Edit: Here's just the thread for us.
