I'm sorry... I see now that it might not be relevant, but I'm a swimming instructor and I teach kids to swim, so does she, and for some reason she became much more attractive when I saw that she was so great with kids...

...even though it might seem like I treat her like an object (she's really hot!) I actually don't care about that SO much, because she's so great personality wise.

I'm not exactly an expert when it comes dating, but as a lot of people before me probably have suggested, don't rush it too much. Just ask her out sometime, that'll probably give you a bit more insight into how she's feeling.

Worst case scenario: she says no and you don't lose anything. Now get to it!

How you tell her is another matter. That's gonna have to be up to you to decide. How did you find out she was single exactly?

Take her out to dinner. Try and flirt. You know, be funny but in a way which shosw that you have interest in her. If the dinner goes well tell her how you feel. This does depend on how much you two atcually know each other. Meaning, what type of friendship do you already have?

Its possible she is waiting for you to make the first move since she probably has never had to make the first move.

Above all else, be confident, otherwise you are doomed to fail. Even if you have to fake some of that confidence.

Write a note saying that you "have serious feeling for her and if she has them for you too, then tell me and we can work something out"(Not word for word, I am not a very good romantic) and put it on her desk.

If she does not like you like how you like her, then she will not respond to the note or tell you that she does not have feeling for you. If the first happens, then don't push the subject with her and move on. If the the second happens, then don't worry about it, you tried the best way you could.

If she responds to the note and tells you she feels the same way, then good for you. Just don't be a jerk and try not to be yourself, but DON'T think that being yourself gives you the right to be a dick about thing she likes or does that you disagree with, that how I lost my first girl friend.

I gave this answer to Julianking93 so I will give it to you. Just go for it. My mentality is that you should always go for it. Why? because otherwise you'll be stuck with the regret, just wondering what would've happened if you told her. And i dont know about you, but I find regret harder to deal with than most other things. If it doesn't work out you can always move on, but you cant do anything about regret (unless you get really lucky and meet her again in the future, or if you build a time machine)

Just tell her. That way you can avoid all the shitty "she loves me, she loves me not" crap and get right to the relationship, which will undoubtedly be filled with fights and arguments and hurt feelings and ultimately end with bitter heartbreak and the loss of a great friendship. And then all you have to do is get through the month or two of sadness and despair before you get over her and start living your life without having to worry about all that stuff. It's a lot of work to get there, but once you do it's great.

Same situation, same shitty indecision, sucks doesn't it? The right course of action is impossible to ascertain, but I wouldn't recommend the waiting game, I've been playing that for years now.
