I have yet to actually play it, but I like what I see so far. In terms of the game I think quick scoping shouldn't be possible or at least not possible in the way it is now. Cod4 it took a good deal of skill, but was still pretty far fetched in terms of should it/shouldn't it be in the game because its use wasn't widespread. It had no place in WAW, and in MW2 it was ridiculous.
Straight up there should not be a peak that allows snipers to zoom in super fast and for that to be coupled with the auto aim mechanic to produce cheap kills. That's not frustration, its not jealousy of the 'skill' it took to do that, it was an exploit, if you make use of an exploit I don't consider that legitimate skill, and I believe that part of the game to be broken.
If you happen to score a kill like that it should be purely based on luck. Snipers should not be used close quarters and if you try use it that way you should get killed.
From what I have seen the zoom in time is closer to COD4's time, which is fine, it also randomizes the position of the cross-hairs, which I believe to be fine too, especially since its more in line with what would actually happen. Where I think the problem might occur is with the seeming delay it takes in actually getting a hit.
The post patch clips out there of attempted no scopes have shown that even if the cross hairs are on someone when you zoom in, if you fire straight away you miss 100% of the time. That's where the MW2 quickscopers are gonna stop playing immediately.
As I said I haven't played the game and I am a firm believe in snipers being used properly, aka taking time and shooting from a distance. But while improved I can see this being a problem for some people. It doesn't affect how I play in the slightest but I can see how it would.
Is it perfect? I doubt it. Is it improved, oh fuck yes.
