I was just wondering if there were any other JROTC Cadets here.

If you are one, why did you join?

I myself am a Cadet Airmen with the GA 62 Air Force Unit, and I joined because I am joining the Air Force after I get out of college.

Wasn't offered at my school during my time, still don't think it is. Never actually heard of it until this post.

Shame really.

I know a girl who's being shipped out to boot camp next september. So, I guess she joined because she's joining the military.

Former member of one right here. I didn't take it this year because I didn't want to do it anymore...

Chair Force young one ;) Just kidding. However, there is one stereotype that sticks with Air Force personel: You will be a great golfer :)

I was an AFJROTC cadet for a couple of years. I left with the rank of Cadet 2nd Lieutenant and the position of Physical Fitness Officer. Unfortunately, I never actually did anything with that position, mainly because I was waiting for someone to tell me that I actually had something to do, which they never did.

Oh well. Though I originally joined to avoid gym, I grew very fond of, and actually fairly devoted to, ROTC.

The class was easy and the instructors were cool. Scratch that. Two of the instructors were cool. The third was awesome.

I looked into it on the site, and our school is not a part of it.

Most we got were a few military recruitment sessions for the over-seventeens. Likely our school population didn't warrant enough effort to enact the program.

I refuse to have anything to do with them.
Thats right grandma you don't need to be anywhere near the battlefield no matter how much you love your country back to the nursing home for you. Prune juice and mushy carotts time

Anyways, i actually had two friends that did it one joining the airforce is now a cadet and another.... i have no fucking clue where he is. Myself i have asthma and was told i couldn't join and never really had much interest in it, the military.

Oh you are the funny one, ha ha!

The reason I chose the Air Force is because I love planes, and I personally think that they have the greatest impact on the modern battlefield, thats why I want to be a pilot. If for some reason that was not an option I would join the marines most likely.

Not yet, but I have Air Force JROTC next semester. I took it out of a mixture of having to take it or PE, a liking for certain aspects of military tradition, and being able to fly in it (no, really).

Oh, and while I don't want to join the military and believe in avoiding war when possible, if I had to join I'd join the Air Force.

I hope they don't do that here.

Boom goes every shred of discipline.

HEY YOUNG MAN!

Don't fuck with me, I'm a badass grandma with an attitude and I'm not afraid to use it.
Thats exactly why we're keeping you away from automatic weapons.
