Sometimes when I'm trying to do some GoW2 multiplayer (which I SUCK at), I might have a good streak (TWO was the most), and I'm having, like, a literal heart attack. Like, my heart starts beating 120 bpm and I'm having a spaz attack over making sure I don't die. But when I get killed, I kinda just cool off, I don't start throwing my controller around like the angry german kid. I give it a good laugh and move on. And I know I'll get flamed, since people are gonna be all like 'You're having a heart attack over a st00peed gaem?'

So, anyone else like this?

I do around my 9th or 10th kill in MW2. My kill streaks usually last around 3-4, but when I get to the 9-10 range, I can hear that AC130 a comin'

I think I've heard that story 3 times in 3 different threads.

OT: Sometimes I throw my controller across the room, but that's the extent of my actions when I get pissed off.

Speaking of MW, I've had that happen to me. I was in that one level where you're at this place with smoke coming out of this huge holes in the ground, and I was super close to a ten kill streak. And when I went to call in a helicopter, 'You can't cuz som n00b haz hiz outlol'

Needless to say I was pissed. I almost NEVER EVER get to 5, let alone 7 or higher.

Yes on occasion, its called an adrenaline rush.

Could also be caused by energy drinks.

Pretty much the same for me with Call of Duty. I totally blow at it so when I'm doing good it's a nice rush and I start playing really defensively and camping it out, which makes me die faster...

It's happened to me a few times when I'm killing like crazy. For example, I was playing the Half-Life 2 mod NeoTokyo and, while crouching behind a wall, about five or so players from the opposite team pop out from behind the wall. Startled, I start shooting randomly, and somehow I was able to kill every single one of them, leaving me breathless and hyperventilating afterward.
Then, the moment I stand up, I get shot in the face by a sniper on the roof of a nearby building, which actually caused me to calm down after the whole thing.

Not really. Like I said in the sweaty hands thread, games don't get me worked up. I play to unwind, not accumulate more stress

I know what you mean. When you're on a good streak on something, you get nervous about how well you can keep it up.

Stupid lightning dodging in Final Fantasy X...

I don't know why, but I always get really tense when I hear the witch crying in Left 4 Dead and I can't actually see her. As soon as I see her I am able to calm down and just avoid her, but until that happens I have a pit in my stomach and my whole body tenses up. I think that's the most dramatic thing that happens to me.

The Sugar Mill level in Left 4 Dead 2 makes me want to shoot myself in case you're wondering.

This hasn't actually happened for me, but it's certainly understandable.

I'm actually a lot better at games when the blood starts pumping fasting and the hearts at x beats per minute.

I sometimes get that as well. It's pretty rare that I'll have a burst of pure awesomness that leads to a kill streak of over 3 people. If I do, I tend to get excited, probably because I'm doing well.

I do on games like Pac Man for example (on phones and calculators and such, not the coin activated ones, because anyone with enough quarters can beat pac man). Whenever I get to the second level I KNOW that I'm not making it to the third so the whole time I'm stressed because half of me is going "RUN FROM THE FUCKING GHOSTS FUUUUUCK YOU'RE CORNERED!" and the other half is going "dude, you only have one life, and that gaylord pinky is blocking the way to the only power pellet you haven't eaten. Just suicide and save us time and effort, because even if miraculously you get to the third level, you'll just die there anyways." so if I keep playing it I get like, really stressed. that's why i hate that fucking game.

I actually prefer the pavelow over the AC130. It requires less kills, lasts longer, kills about the same amount of people and doesn't get shot down with one stinger+stopping power.

Yeah in MW2 I try to get the AC-130 and get super edgy if someone starts talking.

Hmm interesting, I'll look into that, the AC130 was fun the first couple of times I had it but always lasted too short.
