Yeah, Ape Escape. Easily one of my favorite games of all time. Well the other day I had some free time, so my mind began to wander. So of course I began thinking about why I'm a gamer now a days. And Ape Escape is one of the reasons why I am. I never beat it as a kid, so what do I do with the game? Naturally I keep my original copy of it, spend years trying to find a PS1 memory card, and beat it about six years later.

Anyway, my point is that Ape Escape should be re-released on the PlayStation Network. It's a classic game, that's fun to play. So, do you think it should be realeased on the PSN?

And what other games do you think should be "re-released" on the PSN?

I only played it bit but after Id played it I wanted it for almost a year. If it was released on PSN, Id snap it up after buying DA:O add-ons.

Really the only game I want released on PSN are the old Spyro Titles. Id nab them all up .

Tomb Raider Chronicles should be on PSN. They have all the other PS1 Tomb Raiders

Ape Escape was, to quote Yahtzee, "Totally Fucking Sweet". The final boss battle with Specter was amazing.

I fucking love Ape Escape. Its the primary reason I still have my ps1. It was frustrating at times and could have been really gimmicky (given its excessive use of the dualshock sticks) but was easily my favorite game on ps1.

Goddamn monkeys.

i hate that game for one reason its the only game i could never finish, i got to the last level where you fight specter, and i got stuck so i left it for about 3 years remembered it and thought "im gunna kick his ass now" went back and my dad had wiped my save file for syphon filter 3 and i just couldnt be assed getting back to there.

one game that deffinately should be re-released "monkey hero"! that gae was wicked though obscure to say the least

I still have my original copy and an early PS3 so I don't have any problems.

But why is it only on PSN Japan?

Loved it so much I got the sequel. Those crazy monkeys wasted hours and hours of my life but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Anyway, other games for PSN. I don't know really. Do they have Spyro and Crash Bandicoot already?

Never played it but HORSE the band which uses nintendo sounds in their music has a song called Rape Escape which I would guess comes from Ape Escape because they are so heavily influenced by video games. Woo Nintendo-core FTW!

Somehow the Ape Escape games passed me by, with the exception of a fantastic demo I played.

Also, Legend of the Dragoon played, to me, like the epic brainchild of a 7 year old. I thought it was bland and awful. Whatever though, at least someone liked it.

I remember Ape Escape. The demo anyway. First game I had to use the analog sticks with instead of the D-pad.

I love that game for it's historic value more than anything. It was the first game to make full use of analog sticks.

I know for a fact they have the first three Spyro games for sale on PSN, not sure about Crash, I've never checked seeing how my hard copies still work.

OT: Never really played Ape Escape, I didn't have a Dual Shock controller when it came out so I didn't pay it any attention.
