Poll: Apple Game Console?

Meh, could happen. Sony and Microsoft are relatively new to games consoles. They've pulled it off fine, yes both have had problems but what company has been perfect?

If they bring it out around the 8th generation and market it well enough, it could be successful. Just please don't be another Wii...

It would be something like the "iStation", it would only have one game, one controller and only one button on the controller. Also, the pricetag would make the PS3 look like a bargain.

We have enough hot blood between fanbases already. Adding another console would produce a shitstorm the likes of which the gaming world has never seen.

Or, Apple would fail miserably and we'd go back to normal.

I think it would be awesome if apple worked with one of the existing companies on a console, except for the fact that they all make a competitor to apple's products.

Microsoft-Zune to be an ipod
Sony-PSPgo is trying to be an itouch
Nintendo- DS is kind of a competitor...

As much as I like apple's design sense with their interface and general aesthetic, they don't have any experience in the games market, and they'd have to hire someone who does, so it wouldn't end up being fantastically unique.

I voted 'yeah' not because I want it to happen, but because it probably will. I love the Xbox, but seeing as I'm a PC person and not an Apple person I'm pretty sure that preference wouldn't change if Apple did go all the way with the gaming thing.

I know quite a few people that would practically wet themselves with excitement if Apple did put out a console tho.

people have already settled in to their ps3's and xbox 360s and , i cant believe these words are coming to my mouth, their -cougth- wii's. so it would be a bit hopeful for apple to think that everyone will drop everything and buy theirs.
