While I really like only ONE kind of apple (Granny Smith ftw) and find all other kinds of apples disgusting, I guess there's really only one kind of orange that I really don't like that much either, so, apples. :)

Nah, it was funny, just unexpected humor. I'm living Florida right now, and to tell you the truth, the oranges aren't that good. And the apple is a freedom fruit! What's more American than apple pie?
"Wha?!... hork!"

*Chokes on his glass of orange juice; grabs his tray of oranges on the way down, spilling them to floor. Dies in a pool of his own extra-pulp orange juice.*

Happy?

I felt this thread had to be created to answer the undying question, which are better, Apples or Oranges? Personally, nothing is better than the tasty crunch of a Granny Smith.
Apples, but really love a good Fuji or Honey Crisp

Apples! Do you know gods of death love apples? And also apples are more interesting, considering the seeds contain trace amounts of arsenic and cyanide.....

orange juice > apple juice.
I second this.
However, there's a twist. Though Orange Juice > Apple Juice (Because Apple Juice is horrible), Apple CIDER = Orange Juice. Both are delicious, although Cider is better as an occasional, "Holy cow some Apple Cider right now would be awesome", while Orange Juice is great any and every time you can imagine.

The deal breaker for me is that I find apples preferable for just straight up eating, and come in more varieties. Also, Apples are better in baked goods and similar cooking situations.

That made me laugh...so hard =), but still proves yet even more that apples are the superior fruit. They don't carry the lethalness a couple of inconspicous oranges do. Poll update: Apples ftw by 31.3% more than Oranges!

I'll go with apples. My grandparents owned an apple orchard, and I have some fond memories of apples.

Oranges. Ah, delicious oranges. They've got just the right concoction of sweet, and succulent sour. So much Vitamin C you'll be saying, "man, that's a lot of Vitamin C." No need to get the cold or the flu. Spend your sick days snow-skiing in the Rockies. Yes, oranges. Sold in many varieties. Sold as juice- try every one. Yes, juicy, delicious Florida oranges. Tasty and nutritious. Remember- drink the best. Florida orange juice.
I couldn't agree more, well said!
