I don't realy know. It's all very circumstantial. I'd say mouth kissing is definitely going beyond just friendship between two hetero guys. Which would cast doubts on their status as hetero. Hand holding and cheek kissing, really depends on background.

i'm missing the "depends on cultural setting"-option. while for you colonists it might be strange if two heterosexual men kiss, in certain nations, for example some north african ones, a kiss to the cheek is a usual gesture of greeting, similar to a handshake in the western hemisphere.

That was what my OP was about. The poll is just to see where this forum lands, seeing as many different cultures are represented here.

Pretty much this. So long as they're not doing something intrusive like moving their clasped hands in front of your camera when you're just trying to photograph the scenery, or standing in the middle of a busy sidewalk making out and occasionally shouting "We're not gay! Look at how not gay we are!", folks ought to mind their own business.

Of course, where I live, I think my view is rather in the minority...

I think two guys hugging is weird, aswell as that sports man thing were they slap each others ass or kiss each other (looking at you football/soccer).

I know MMA fighters/boxers kiss but thats more of a psych out than anything, there are a few funny ones on youtube were one has kissed the other only for a sucker punch to land on the jaw of the one who did the kiss.

I find kissing on the cheek weird for any reasons other than romantic ones (or affection for younger children), so ima go with that.

I would say hugging is the most normal affection between heterosexual men that I've seen. Most of the people who are friends in my class hug eachother twice a day at least.

Kissing on both cheeks is a customary form of congratulations (for birthdays or holidays) where I live, regardless of gender. Also the default among relatives.

I draw the line at hugs its just what I am comfortable with unless I'm just messing around, though gay chicken does have its own rules. Though I never play unless the other guy is really easy to beat. Two of my friends played and the first thing one of them did was grab the others junk. They stood there maybe thirty seconds dead silent with the one guy just basically playing with the others' nuts. It was fucking hilarious, and you can guess who won.
