It's pretty equal, I mean if you listen to the laymen, male or female they both see X, normally the opposite sex. I worked as an agony uncle for a long time and human psychology and interaction is something I study a lot so I've been in and out of this world so much...

Simply put, neither sex is really that complicated. We're not, as sexes, fascinatingly difficult to understand. As people, hells yeah we're complicated, maddeningly so.

But yeah, neither sex as a whole seems particularly good at discerning the other one, as a whole. There are plenty of individuals on both sides who have a good grasp but generally it's about even.
Personally I still don't see it as difficult, not trying to come off as an elitist douche but seriously, I guess I was lucky with how I was brought up because I've pretty much always 'got' girls as well as I've 'got' guys.

Men are more complex in general, we're just more simple when it comes to interactions with the opposite sex.

It's okay guys, you don't have to stick with the politically correct, "I think everyone is equal!" response. It's ok to be honest of what you think here.

Complexity in true being? I'm, not too sure. However, males tend to be more straight-forward, or at the least, more easily readable. Females on the other hand, seem to act or speak contrary to what they really want far more often than males, and I would classify that as a little more complex. Sure, guys might not be too truthful if their manly pride is on the line, but with girls? It's take your best guess day; all day, every day.

Also, I am failing to see a "I'm a girl and I think boys are more complex" option. Am I just not seeing it, or is it really not up there?

EDIT: Ok...it just wasn't loading on my screen for some reason. Weird...

I chose option 5.

I beleive both sexes have their minds wired differently, and both sexes have their own complexities that will boggle the other.

Sexually, emotionally, intellectually... both sexes run the gamut of simple to incredibly complex. This really has more to do with life experiences than physiology.

Nah, both have their complexities. Alternatively, we're both presumed to be so complex that we both overthink it, instead of applying Occam's Razor. Hey, look, that actually works!

OT: Personally I can't understand the way women think but I believe that's just because of lack of exposure. I think we're different in the head fundamentally in a way that is incredibly subtle. Societies roles for both sexes have molded our different paradigms too.
That image makes me want to rewatch Pokemon again. Odd. Haven't had that urge before.

I find myself boggled again and again about the reaction of the other sex, but it doesnt help my case that i have a form of autism.

Personally I just think that it's just more likely for women to be a lot more emotional, and sometimes this means they favour emotion over logic making them seem batshit crazy during arguments.

Many women may contest this, but judging from my circle of friends and a large amount of people on the interwebs the "say X and mean Y" thought process is suprisingly common xD Please prove me wrong.

Conclusion: From my experiences I believe both sexes are equally complex, it's just that one sex tends to be a little more direct.

Nuuuuuh.

I think boys are more 'straightforward' than women and make better friends becuase of it. I don't think they are necessarily more or less complicated. I think it's a per person thing.

I don't get on with other women very well I don't know why :/

Physically and sexually, girls are more complicated, but only because of societal norms. Basically, there is a double standard where it is perfectly ok (and in some cases looked highly upon) for a man to sleep around, while a woman would be called a slut or a whore. We live in a paternally dominated world and always have. This probably correlates to women being so damn complicated in relationships, and not making any sense most of the time in this regard.
Emotionally, women are also more complicated. They produce estrogen, which makes them hormonal, bitchy, and irrational. Men produce testosterone, which makes them competitive and horny. While neither biology is truly more complicated, women come off as more complicated because of how they act. Men come off as more simple, they try and have sex and pound their manly chests a bit. Really, neither one is more complicated than the other, we just need to understand why both sexes act the way they do.

That option is up there. Only one person has voted for it.

Nope. Both are equally weird and bizarre. But since we´ve lived like one sex our entire life, we think we make perfect sense. But seen from an outside perspective, you really, really, don´t. I bet women think men are hard to understand, just like men think women are hard to understand. Any ladies want to confirm mt theory?

- Male
I agree, also i think it depends on the person some men are more "Complex" than others and is the same with a woman

Complexity is complexity - it's there in both sexes, it's just that we as men have a hard time understanding some of the girl's complications, and vice versa. And there are just some things that we are programmed to not understand - that is a part of our biology, it makes us like eachother. So... I believe that this is somewhat a useless topic, but that's my opinion. There is always something to be learned though.
By the way, the fact that girls evolve faster than guys in some aspects DOES NOT make them more complex - this is a stupid statement and every thinking being with a working brain can understand why - if you cant you should read some books on the human body or something... for me it's only common logic. It's just a couple of years anyway, it's part of the biology process I spoke of earlier - part of the machanism that makes us like eachother, fall inlove, want and so on. ^^

WOW, this place is a sausage fest...

I think women are more complicated, simply due to the menstrual/hormonal effects that affect them daily.

Is that how they have the super power to dance circles around our minds?
Not everyone is affected by menstrual hormonal levels, or experience PMS/cramps/those sorts of things. There's just plenty of loud complainers that make it seem that way.

I've got this sinking feeling that there are a lot of people immediately looking for the politically correct option. Makes me think I should have left it out and forced all of you to make a tough choice.

Tough call.

If you wanted to figure out exactly how all women worked on a universal scale, I'd say they're a bit more complex.

If you want to make a few generalizations that will accurately explain >98% of women, it's really, really simple. Like way more simple than men. If you were to say that all men want is sex, then you could equally generalize that all women want is attention. You can expand on men to find things they want that have nothing to do with sex, but in >98% of women you can not find anything they want(other than enough food to live) that can't be attributed to a desire to get attention.

You're posting on website populated primarily by white knights and people too young to have shaken off the brainfucking they get in school. Expecting anything even slightly negative out of them about anyone other than straight white males is like expecting a starving lion to not eat you while you're wearing a bacon jumpsuit.

Male here but I think this is the kind of question that can only be answered with serious psychological research.

Humans are pretty much tame and uncomplicated, while a dog...now a dog...a dog is complicated.
