Have you ever met a baby or small child?

They're monsters.

Yeah religious discussions aside, no one needs to teach a child to be an ass, that comes naturally. Respect/kindness/patience/virtue/etc., those need to be learned.

Not neccessarily, I have seen very young children be selfish assholes yes, but you also see them having a lot of compassion. every one of us is born with both "good" and "evil" inside us, our choices determine where we go from there.

I don't put religion into the factor - I simply believe that all human beings, whatever their race, gender, mental health (except in the most extreme circumstances), etc, can easily grow up to be good or evil, whatever the hell that means - it all depends on how they were brought up, the environment, the parents, the friend's, the mentors, etc.

Used to think babies were born as innocent, blank slates. Now I'm fairly convinced that we were all born evil, and slowly learned of all the things we're supposed to do. Then some of us realised that the stuff we weren't supposed to do was actually a lot more convenient. That, or some of us were just never taught properly.

I think they're born as humans, and stuff happens that influences the rest. Born good or born evil is too simplistic, and just plain incorrect. If we're all born good, where does evil come from, or vice versa.

Seeing as "good" and "evil" are subjective values and that very few entities think of themselves doing "evil", all of this is very arguable.

If a kid grew up in a nice town where everyone nice, Chances are, Hes gonna be nice.

I am babysitting one right now. It just threw a table at me. I shit you not.

Both subjective and abstract terms. Neither good nor evil actually mean anything. You just fit your own ideas to the words.

Children are born selfish. They are taught their parents values and beliefs. They learn things through living and shape their own personality.

Evil and Good don't exist as two opposing forces. Viewing them as such is a very naive outlook.
