Poll: Are murderers forgivable?

No. example "I KILLED 50 people, forgive me!" or "I'm a murderer, but i look like a nice guy, forgive me jury! I know you will!" for all those people who say they value human life should be able to understand that a murderer is a murderer, nothing they can do will bring back that human they killed, and i'll be damned if my taxes keep him alive.

Example, "He was holding a gun to my kid's head, what was I supposed to do?" does that guy deserve the same punishment as someone who just went out and killed 50 people?

We call that self defense. Look it up.

Actually it's not, self defence is when you are defending yourself, hence the name if it's your kid I believe it's called defence of others. But why should that even matter? In your own words "A murder is a murderer" and last I looked killing in defence of anyone is still considered murder.

For one i get sick and tired of hearing about the 'human rights' of an unprovoked murderer or rapist.
Did they consider the the human rights there victim(s) had to go about their lives without being killed or raped?
I'm guessing not.

we are all simply a product of our environment. from the time we are born we are influenced and shaped until we are able to reapond to the world. these responses we give impact the worlds reaction to us which shape us further, for the rest of our lives. as such there is not true "free will". some may see this as sad but i personally find this to be a good thing because as such i blame no one for anything, nor do i blame those who they grew up with for they are the same. i may get angry at events but i am always able to forgive, not to say that the laws should not be in place as we still need deterrents to prevent others from doing harm. I've done nothing wrong and am not simply trying to blame my upbringing, i am simply reaching a logical conclusion after studying a bit of sociology and psychology. that is my reason for voting yes
