Too fast, too many legs. I trip myself up with 2 legs, with that many legs, you know they're up to something nefarious.
I dunno, I don't think it entirely is. I have very good memories of my early childhood, including my first discovery of a spider in a web at my cousin's house and how scary and fast it moved when I touched the web out of curiosity. D: And yet, plenty of other creepy things that my family showed fear or dislike of, such as bats and other insects, never bothered me at all.Dexiro said:Apparently our fear of bugs is entirely a result of social conditioning. Kids will be absolutely fine playing with bugs at a young age, but when friends or adults start going "OMG A SPIDER, EVERYONE GET OUT OF THE HOUSE" they suddenly become something to be feared.
