I was just thinking (this applies to the UK mostly I don't know about other country's) do people think that we as individuals are watched and monitored too much, as everywhere I go I see a security camera somewhere, watching me. In my school we have cameras everywhere, when I go through the gate I'm watched, I'm watched in the corridors, hell the only place I'm not being monitored is the toilets. Then if I walk up the street there's another camera watching from a street lamp. I mean its getting a bit ridiculous what do other people think about this are we turning into a totalitarian society? or is it just me?

As I live "off the grid" I'm not. But I see you commoners being monitored and laugh. It's really funny watching you being watched by CENSORED, I mean CENSORED watches you guys all day. I bet CENSORED is being censored out on your computers.

I think you're just paraniod. It's not like the images taken are being stored and our movements tracked. Cameras are only used to collect evidence if there is a crime taking place otherwise what they record is simply ignored and deleted.
I suppose there will be someone monitoring these images live but its no different form anyone looking at you as you walk down the street.

And so the endless debate...

But personally I agree. I'm also a UKian and it does seem slightly ridiculous these days. Hey! Maybe someone could make a videogame about illegal couriers in a police state!

Oh...

I heard a statistic once that an average person is videotaped 15 times a day. I don't have a reference though so for all you know I may have just pulled that number out of the air.

I wouldn't be so sure.

I'm sure that's what they'd like you to think.
They're crafty, but not that crafty. If I really am on the grid, they're not trying to hide the fact that they're watching you guys from me.

Well, I don't know anything for certain, but since 9/11, every time I've flown, I've been pulled aside for secondary screening. It's usually all foriegn people, and me. In one instance, I was taken away to a secluded room and made to stand in front of an x-ray machine. Not sure why all of it happened, but now, I avoid flying as much as possible.

Whoever watches me must be very bored.

"gets up, rides bike, goes to work, leaves work, rides bike, plays games, rides bike, goes to bed, gets up, rides bike..."

Copter shall now take a cursory inspection of his computer room to check for cameras or similar devices of espionage.

I don't think im CONSTENTLY being watched, but I wouldn't be suprised. The government/google just seems to powerful/currupt for me to trust that much. I'm just glad that they can't censor what people have to say on the internet, as a matter of fact to prove it im going to tell you what I really think happened to JFK/at roswel/jimmy hoffa/during 9/11! I think -OPINION REMOVED DUE TO OPOSITION TO GOVERNMENT: IT IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD-
