No, because I am over the age of 10
So am I and I watch it.

Have you seen the shows projected demographics?
It's for young women and children right? That's kinda what My Little Pony is all about, eh?

The official site has this on it:

http://www.hubworld.com/my-little-pony/shows/friendship-is-magic/pony-for-parents

'Did you know that My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is a great way to help kids learn about the world?'

That pretty much says it all.
Well, the website is made by Hasbro, not the creators of the show.

I think this should be shown though:

And when the number of 25-38 year old men watching episodes on youtube exceeded any other group, I smiled.

Well, yes and no.

Older generations are pretty much like that. But when FiM was created, Lauren Faust was shooting for a show that, while aimed at little girls, could be watched and enjoyed by their parents too. Including fathers. Given the overwhelming response, I'd say she did a pretty good job.
I get what you're saying, but she hasn't done it nearly as well as her husband has, in my opinion anyway. I wanted to like the pony, but I just couldn't. Tho I will admit, it's probably the best show now for parents to have to watch with children.
Well, you're definitely entitled to your opinion. If you tried it and didn't like it that's fine. Sorry to have bothered you.

Fyre-Fyre must be someone important then? More important or less important than your supposed youtube numbers??

Hell, a week ago the wiki said Lauren Faust created the powerpuff girls, so I take random internet info with a grain of salt!
Yeah, that's Lauren Faust's Deviantart name.

I have a 4 yr. old daughter. By default, I am a "Brony".

That being said, it's better than a lot of kids shows out there - at least for an adult to have to sit through. Seriously - sit through a full ep. of Caillou or Elmo and you'll see what I mean.

We won't even get into the colonial / imperialist implications of the new Strawberry Shortcake....

so, yeah - my kid likes it, some jokes are intelligent enough for me to chuckle at, it isn't overly preachy, but still has a nice message for my daughter. I've watched MUCH worse.

I'm a lady brony. XD

It's the best "girls'" cartoon since W.I.T.C.H. and I really appreciate that Faust took pains to make each character a character instead of a Role Model or a stereotype. They've got great strengths and equally great flaws, the jokes are actually funny, the plots of each episode are rarely resolved through cliche drivel, and rely on the characters displaying actual problem-solving skills and character development that sticks.

It's really awesome.

(P.S. Twilight Sparkle and Applejack are my favorites. I love that the main narrator is essentially the town wizard and librarian.)

I guarantee that anyone who watches one episode will continue to watch them all. I've already experimented on a few people.
So true.

I showed someone one episode and I can see him trying to fight it every time I mention it. He just doesn't want to say it.
I showed my boyfriend one episode and at the end, he went "Nah, not my thing"... yet he keeps watching it every time a new episode comes out, and we've had discussions long into the night trying to piece together the social, religious, and economic structures of Ponyville...

...yes, we both need lives, but dammit those conversations are awesome.

yes
I have to admit that i was initially very skeptical about this about the show is just hilarious. And if if you feel like you are too manly for this just watch an episode of sons of anarchy for every 2 episodes of MLP, that should even your karma

Oh dear lord...

My nephew (a little over 2) loves Caillou. I endured hours of that insipid, boring, pointless show when I babysat him. That said, and you're not going to believe this, Caillou is one of the better shows on the Sprout channel. Need proof?

Nope.

All this attention the shows getting just reminds me of the time everyone ironically like Spongebob,
People haven't been IRONICALLY into Spongebob for a long time now. You ever watched an episode recently? That shit got CRAZY BEANS after the movie. Now Spongebob is a complete and utter trip; a cool, natural high.

I'll be honest, I've not seen any of this show due to my net being worse then crap and Britain not airing it but it does sound like something that'd interest me. Dunno why though.

Although I'll admit, the fandom is a bit annoying in prolonged doses. Nothing wrong with saying you like the show, posting a pic or two, not at all. It's just when it starts appearing more as a cult then anything that it gets a bit annoying. And saying things like "Join the herd." and "Accept the pony" to those who are indifferent or against it is creepy and very cultish behaviour, at least to me.

Ya know what, I really did want to enjoy it. I made it to the episode with the Griffin and Rainbow Pony (Who I still think is a guy whatever they say) but lost interest. Maybe one day I'll try to watch more, but it's not high on my list of things to get done.

Maybe if the Night Mare comes back...
Oh man I know. That was my least favorite episode.

Luckily I stuck through and episode 6 (the one after) is my favorite so far. Whatever. Glad you considered it atleast. Cheers.

Ok, my girlfriend who is into Powerpuff girls AND Fosters home for imaginary friends says this show sucks the root, and i tend to agree.
