Poll: Are you left-handed or right-handed?

Though i noticed that most people seem to use their left hand to shoot bows with... find that strange and confusing, i grew up using my right to hold the bow

Actually, what you're describing is a left-handed bow. Bows are classified by the hand you use to draw, therefore, a bow held in the left hand and drawn with the right is right-handed, one held in the right hand and drawn with the left is left-handed.

So congratulations! You're officially a goofy archer.

I rule with an iron (right) fist. Very dominant - my right arm feels totally different to my brain if i make a mental check of body parts too. (i prefer my right leg for kicking too, but it "feels" nearly the same as my left leg)

This is a weird poll though. so many people claiming ambidexterity and left handedness. Hm, i guess the audience here doesn't conform to a even representation of the common population.

Basing it on the old notion that you are whatever hand you write with, I'm left-handed.
I'm also left-eared, and right-footed. Not sure about the eyes.
I do however play right-handed guitar, use the fork in my left (should be right-handed for lefties), use the mouse right-handed..etc,etc.

Some things are inherent, some you were basically forced to (see scissors, old-style can-openers, etc), and the rest is a mix of custom and training.

My mother was born left-handed but were forced to right-handed, because left-handedness was "Evuul" in the old days.

I usually write with my right hand but I eat like I'm left handed with my fork in my right hand.

There's other things I can do with my left like draw and write with permanent markers but my right is dominant.

For the longest time I thought that I was left-handed. But I only hold things with my left hand, which means that I also write with left hand. However, I can't throw anything with it. I use my right hand for that. It turns out that I am cross-dominant.

Highly doubt it. It's most commonly used in board sports when someone rides with their right foot forward (a typically lefty stance) or rides contrary to their footedness. However, it usually means the former.

It depends on the task. I use my left hand for writing, eating, and other tasks that require more control.

Through something I don't really want to explain, I have found that I naturally use weapons and such with my right hand.

Right handed with a few exceptions. Using a knife for steak and swimming I am left dominant. Unsure as to why this is.

I'm a righty for fine motor movements (writing, drawing, etc.), and a lefty for gross motor movements (athletic activities, primarily). I'm guessing I'm just a lefty who was taught to write with his right hand because teachers, since apparently I used to draw with my left hand when I was little, and I'm a lefty foot-wise as well, but I never really developed the fine motor skills with my left hand, so I ended up split two ways.

I'm typically right handed, but I can write, chop onions, sew etc. with either, I just choose to use my right.

I'm predominantly left-handed for writing etc, but I eat 'right-handed' (to me it feels more natural to have a fork in the dominant hand. I also use a mouse and play guitar right-handed probably because there was no left-handed option around for me when I started, and I can use scissors in either hand.

There's plenty I do with my left hand- I juggle, type, prepare food. I can even write with my left hand (and have, on occasion, when I wanted to disguise my handwriting), but it's slower and messier. I'd be sorry to lose my left hand, but if I had to choose- sorry, Lefty.

Oh, and speaking of such things- I've heard people insist that the "proper" way to eat foods (like meat) that have to be cut up is to cut with the right hand while using a fork in the left to hold the food steady, then switch hands (fork back into the right hand, knife into the left) to eat the bite that's been cut. This has always seemed like an insane inefficiency to me that no one has any right to suggest is etiquette; if my fork is in my left hand, it's staying in my left hand to eat what I've cut.

I'm mixed handed with a right handed preference (as it's my stronger hand), I write right handed, but eat left handed and use my work tools left handed (mostly, I use the blade right handed). I used to be totally ambidextrous when I was little, but I broke my left wrist twice which forced the right handed preference.
