The story is quite boring, the intel gathering missions are repetitive, but the actual assassinations are brilliant. Also, you can spend hours freerunning around the city, just exploring. So yeah, $9.99 is more than worth it.

Considering you already bought it, I think you made a good choice. I just bought it too yesterday (bloody Steam charged ? 14,99 for us European folk...). I've played it through less legitimate means before, and I'm glad to be able to redeem myself slightly. I certainly enjoyed the game and don't regret laying down some cash for it.

Shit yeah!
Unless you'd rather buy it for full price ($50 here in Australia) at retail....
Should only be $40 at max...
Are you living in a capital?
Yeah.... But it's been a while since I last checked, and figured it would've gone down by a bit.

You're lucky. North America pays 10 USD, and we, the Europeans, pay 10? EURO, which, even without VAT, is more than you pay. Steam Fails on that point. U.U

Edit: hehe, forgot to answer: Buy! :D (got it for xbox :p)

Oh how I hate thee, cruel world. How am I supposed to NOT take up on such an offer, even when I have a serious lack of money?

Damn you The Pitt for being released today! Damn you Microsoft for making me buy 1000 MS points, even though I needed only 600.

DAMN YOU!

Ps, it's actually 14.99? for us Europeans. Damn you!

Seeing you already bought it, I'll just say: Good choice.

You'll easily get $10 worth of enjoyment out of it.

Its a pretty good game, worth giving a go. Only thing I found was that it was a tad repetitive but in a way its a good repetitive if you know what I mean.

Also he got it for pc, so if anything it should be even better since they added in all those new investigations to give more variety.

Assassins creed, hmm. It depends. The first time I played it, it became a chore rather quickly. Then on my 2nd playthrough I realised why the game sucked. There wasn't enough limitations on the whole Assassin thing. You were given everything, and as such, you always chose the simplest route. Do 3 activities, go in, slash shit up, run out, lather rinse and repeat. Then when you pay close attention, you actually begin to become a real assassin. No longer mashing counter you become a force to be reckoned with. Your assassination targets never aware of your presence, and as long as you can get into the mindset that you are an assassin. The game becomes a whole lot more fun, so long as you put some effort into it. Or you know, you could just go in and slash shit up. Whatever floats your boat.

Edit: It also helps if you read your dossier on collected info to plan out an assassination.

There's a neat trick you can pull with the wrist blade, in case you hadn't found out for yourself already: start a fight, ready the aforementioned waeapon, and hold down block. You can't block with the wrist blade, so Altair tends to pull out his sword instead, but just switch back if he does that. 'Cause, see, what you CAN do with the ol' Eagle's Talon, is counter... and here's the thing, unlike sword counters, this one doesn't give a *cough* if your enemy has too much health, so you won't see any lame little inconclusive counters. Comes in handy late in the game if you can get the timing down, which is hard to do, thus adding an element of skill to the feat.

Definitely worth it, you might want a gamepad though (mouse&keyboard suck for beat-'em-up and platforming in my opinion).

No, it's boring as hell. It looks great and controls great, but somehow that just isn't enough.
