There's a neat trick you can pull with the wrist blade, in case you hadn't found out for yourself already: start a fight, ready the aforementioned waeapon, and hold down block. You can't block with the wrist blade, so Altair tends to pull out his sword instead, but just switch back if he does that. 'Cause, see, what you CAN do with the ol' Eagle's Talon, is counter... and here's the thing, unlike sword counters, this one doesn't give a *cough* if your enemy has too much health, so you won't see any lame little inconclusive counters. Comes in handy late in the game if you can get the timing down, which is hard to do, thus adding an element of skill to the feat.
