I'm saying II only because I haven't played Brotherhood yet.

EDIT: Is Brotherhood's Multiplayer any good?

I'd say 2. Brotherhood is great, but's essentially an expansion pack. I don't think it has enough new aspects to be considered a sequal. Assassin's Creed 3 however, I predict will be fucking awesome.

It's almost even between 2 and Brotherhood, but 2 gets the edge because we get to see more of a development in Ezio. Brotherhood is better in almost every way, but for some reason I still like 2 more. Looking back, Rome feels more varied than all the cities in 2. But Brotherhood suffered in the character department. Interactions were just more interesting between characters in 2. Everyone is pretty much established in Brotherhood, so they don't really grow much.

Brotherhood's multiplayer is...Ok.

It can be immensely fun and frustrating at the same time. I feel the controls could be a lot tighter and in same cases they spoil the fun but essentially, as an idea, it is great!

For example just like in the main game you press x to kill your target but I was running across a rooftop ready to jump down to street level to make my escape when my opponent hit x all the way across the other side of the roof and activated the animation which leads to my death. WTF! I had plenty of time to get away. It's little things like that which spoil it, still I can't stop playing it!

Yes works well and is unique - however some balance issues and tricky until you get the good perks etc on occassion.

I'd say probably Assassin's Creed II because of story/exploitation of conspiracies

You're aware that the leap from Brotherhood to 3 isn't going to be anywhere near as large as it was from 1 to 2?

It's just that if you looked at it as another series then Brotherhood would easily be labelled a sequel.

OT: Brotherhood's gameplay, with AC2's ancestor-story. Desmond's story is definitely gaining a lot more interest, from me at least, but in Brotherhood the Renaissance story felt like far more of a support for the modern times, whereas normally it's the other way around.

I would disagree. I haven't even finished Brotherhood, but from what I can see, it's just as complete as 2 is, and has a much better narrative on all parts, if you ask me.
