Lies. Astral projection is just unscientific mumbo-jumbo. If it was imaginary... or a dream, then fine.

It would totally be cool though. Maybe.

You woke up in your bed or in a room without door knobs?

There are plenty of things that are unscientific, doesn't mean they don't exist.

I disagree. The idea of an outer-body experience is preposterous. There's absolutely no logic behind it. It's equally as unlikely as you and somebody else accidently swapping bodies for a day. I'm all open for new scientific advancements and I might just believe this if some kind of crazy technology was involved but without it? Just... no.

I've read Robert munroe's book, Journeys Out Of The Body.
I tried it. I experienced some wierd sensations (like i was revolving quickly around my own body :/ ) Ultimately yielded no positive results. It's not someone's 'soul' leaving their body, it's similar to lucid dreams. Just a dream experience.

I believe in Asshole Projection.
You mean when you scream ****** into a walkie talkies counterpart while it's strategically placed across the road as strangers pass by at night?

Huh. I thought I was the only one who did that.

So did I, until I saw my neighbour doing it a few years ago.

Alright, this is how you can do it quickly and without too much hassle. Go to I-tunes, search for "Kelly Howell - Music & Delta Brain Wave Therapy". There are two tracks, about 30 minutes long. You listen to them with head phones and they use a lot of low pitch sounds and music to induce a waking dream state. I'm not saying you're walking around in the Matrix, but it's really soothing and if you take deep breaths after about ten minutes your brain sorta detaches.

If you do the guided, this woman's voice will take you through this weird walk along a beach and channeling all the negative energy, etc. If you do the unguided...your brain detaches and then it's just you and your subconscious.

I got bored with the guided and started doing the unguided and it was proving to be pretty weird. Lots of walking in dark forests and floating in outer space. Eventually it got to a point where there weren't even stars, I was just floating, and suddenly this old man's face just appeared. He started screaming at me that I was seriously in the wrong place and to get the hell out of there.

Uh, after that I spent about a year having disturbing stuff from my childhood come to the surface in a variety of ways. It wasn't pleasant, but I guess I unloaded a lot of baggage.

Hah. Yeah, but that would be feeding a halucination of an astral projection so that doesn't count :)

This is a fairly crazy belief. Vivid dreams are not out of body experiences, astral projection makes no sense as a theory.

While we're at it mind reading, telekinesis, talking to the dead and ghosts are also illogical and just plain stupid ideas.

I meant it is possible to have a dream about astral projection, not physically have an astral projection whilst dreaming.

Secondly, it's not meant to make sense, that's the point. It's a load of crap.
