It's come to my attention that here, especially being a community of gamers, any mention of Australia (the country, film, drinking game, etc.) pretty much must degenerates into "ALL GAMERS ARE HATED IN AUSTRALIA WE SHOULD BOYCOTT THIS COUNTRY"
No, I don't like what Michael Atkinson is doing, no, I don't like the way that we don't have a R18+ rating for videogames. But at the same time, this affects maybe 10 percent of the population (if that), and well, I often have more important things to do than rage over the graphics in Left 4 Dead 2. Especially when I'm too busy raging about the American who has voted to kick me for the 20th time over missing that one pounce as a hunter. And generally taking things WAY too seriously (in between making fun of me for having a cut down version of L4D).
What I'm actually trying to say is this: Can we, as a community, PLEASE get over it. This really only affects Australians, and then only Australian gamers. We won't change anything if all the outsiders see us as are knee-jerk reacting cockbags who jump at the smallest thing to get worked up about, and NEVER let it go.
