So if your one of the lucky ones like my dad is you would of got an invitation to the battlefield 3 alpha trail so we download it and install it and origin decides not to connect so we test our ports our nat type and we figured out its on E.A's end of the stick so we complained in the forums and was met with a load of abuse this is where i come to these forums would you guys prefer if the battlefield 3 alpha was released on steam instead.

I have a friend who also got an alpha invite, and he's a MASSIVE Valve fanboy, but I have yet to hear any complaining from him about Origin.

And trust me, I WOULD have heard it...

Fullstops! They're not just for show!

Personally, I hope I can run it stand alone. If not, I'd rather use steam, which will be running anyway, than some other system. It's annoying to open one every time you want to run a game, but with just 3 it'll be a considerable resource drain for even high end machines.

I got a code yesterday and Origin claims it's already in use. Supposedly this has happened to some other people as well, so I get to sit on my hands while they try to figure out why it happened.

Got my code yesterday and it took me forever to figure out what email I had used with the account because there really isn't a way ti find out through normal settings.

Otherwise Origin is all right.

Only thing I have against Origin is that if it becomes a major player it'll split up my game collection, because whatever you think about EA they own some really good brands.
