I'm totally indifferent to bestiality. Everyone has their fetishes, is my philosophy. Though it can, of course, be classified as rape, which makes me lean towards the 'put those mothafockas in jail' side of the argument.

The same reason they can't give consent also makes them impossible to commit criminal acts because they have no understanding of the laws they're breaking. This is why children and severely mentally handicapped people are also often not charged with crimes. Guess what all three groups also have in common? They can't consent to sexual intercourse.

Ignorance is no defence in a court of law. Just because you do not know or understand a law does not mean that you cannot be prosecuted for it. That said, can you imagine being on the jury if a house cat is brought in for the murder of a budgy

I...I don't get it. Just...no. I'm sorry, but I'm really too uncomfortable with the subject to form a genuine opinion. There's no denying that most of the time beastiality amounts to rape, and the other times it's just depraved, but opposing it would go against my strict "whatever floats yer boat" policy. I can't for the life of me imagine why anyone would stick their bits into a goat, or donkey, or whatever, but I also can't begin to fathom why it's an actual crime.

But, on a side note, I've got a tenner that says this turns into/spawns a furry hate thread before the day's out.

I'm not necessaily aruing for beastiality (I think it stems from sexual desperation, meaning the person can't get any, and does the only way they know how. However, this is not always the case, and some people simply like beastiality more than normal human sex), but think about this:

Animals are not able to give consent in the same form humans do, that being with words. Animals give consent by simply allowing the action to take place. If some dude tried to have sex with a mare, and the mare didn't want it, the mare would swiftly kick him in the balls, which would probably explode from the force of the kick. Animals have a tendency to get violent when things happen that they don't want to happen, and by simply not kicking, biting, or clawing the holy bejeezus out of the person, they are consenting to whatever. Does it make sense?

I personally think it's really really weird. I mean, what the hell does the animal think, it's not capable of making a logical, emotional judgement about love and sex (despite what PETA may want to believe) I have to say it's up there with pedophilia in terms of creepy deviance. See I dont see it as rape. It is if the animal doesn't enjoy it...but I don't think they see it in that manner. It's either pleasurable or it isn't, and they arent afraid to let a human know it...right? But I don't know...you hear about it, but I have never actually met somebody that dig's it.

While I'm not saying I agree with the act itself, it is worth remebering that all the arguments put forward (morality, consent, rape...) are HUMAN concepts. At some point, some PERSON has gotten on his high-horse and said, "I know, I'ma gonna tell other people how to live!" and some stupid people believed them, telling all the other stupid people they knew until it became the common mindset that these things are generally "wrong".

No-one seems capable of 'Live and let live' any more. But let us not forget, in the law most places, bestiality is considered just as bad a crime as 100% CONSENSUAL sex with someone who just happens to be perhaps even days before their "required-by-laws-made-by-idiots" birthday.

Think outside the box forced around you by society and make your own decisions. Just remember that whatever you do, some people are going to disagree(they're called idiots), and some will agree (they're also idiots, descended from idiots who will only go on to procreate more idiots).

If you want to do something, think about it first, then try/do it, don't wait around trying to get others to validate your decision, otherwise you're an idiot.

They kind of are. Even if they aren't directly hurting the animal, diseases spread, and most people who would consider screwing the pooch probably aren't qualified to discern between what is and isn't harming their pet.

Oh come on! The "not-fighting-back = consent" argument has about as much validity for animals as it does for humans. Cows/pigs in a slaughterhouse probably don't literally fight back, but that sure as hell doesn't make it suicide.

Oftentimes the animal wants to do it, being driven by instincts. Popular example: A dog humping a human's leg.

Besides, what about a male dog having sex ("doggie style") with a woman? I doubt the dog will be harmed in any way.

Ok I'm look at this 2 ways, on the evolutionist stance anyone who is attracted to an animal and not a human has no genetic future and needs some damn mental help. From a religious stand point, god doesn't want you having sex with animals and they need some damn mental help. So I see no way how doing that is even remotely a good thing.

Okay, I know a lot of people are going to be grossed out by the following, but seeing as people's main issue with beastiality is the whole consent/rape thing, I figured I'd paraphrase one of my idols:

"Sex with animals is arguably a bad idea.
Sex with dead animals isn't."

Now, I'm not a pervert, and I find necrophilia to be a truly disgusting act, but barring the fact that it's really really gross, would you mind if people had sex with dead animals? And try not to think of a fly-riddled rotting deer-corpse by the side of the road here. The example my idol used was this:

"If , in the privacy of my own home, I warm up a Thanksgiving-turkey to body-temperature, grease it up with sauce, and then have my way with it, then who do I harm in doing so?"

Now for the record, I don't like that mental image, and I imagine some people are going to hate me for bringing it up, but regardless:
While beastiality is up for debate, I don't think sex with dead animals is. Because it's 100% guaranteed to be victimless crime.

I generally think society is way too uptight about sex, and while this might be a little too controversial for some, I don't mind if people do this.

My thoughts: I don't really care, if a person wants to screw around (litteraly) with an underage child, let that person do it, so long as they aren't physcily harming the underage child, I really couldn't care less.

Now would I want to see it? Fuck no. Do I approve of it? Not really, I think its weird. But I am certainly in no high standard of morality to tell my neighbour what is and isn't right. And what he should and shouldn't do. I wouldn't want him comming over stopping me from playing on computers because its wrong to him, so why the hell should I go over there and tell him that having sex with an underage child is wrong.

I changed your original statement so you can get an idea of what I see Beastiality as

1. Both (child and animal) are inherently innocent
2. Neither can protest in any meaningful way
3. Both are illegal (that's a self-fufilling reason, I know, but it creates an added negativity)

And other reasons which I cannot articulate.

I won't privide a vid but a girl that allows a dog to "hump" her and it does so willingly? Looks like consent to me.

Anyway, it's a deviation. But we tolerate homosexuality that is just another deviations so why to hate on bestiality which is all in all the same thing? Being tolerant is being tolerant even on things you don't like. I can live with it.

Generally, people, if you agree on homosexuality, the only diffrence is that grown adults are considered to be able to give consent. Most people are not tollerant becouse they are just "fine with it". That's not tollerance. You are tollerant when you allow people to do whatever they won;t untill it doesn't affect you. Pedophilia is sick, but it just a same sort of disfunction, same "brain wiring" that went wrong. Just some deviations are more harmful than others. Necrophilia imho should be legal. A person should be able to sign a paper that gives their body to a necrophile, consent is given, why not to allow it? And I'm sure some people would went for it for cash.
