On a national bent I'd have to say British. We can do just about anything and in a pinch can make anything sound classy and upper-crust.

But if I was to pick one accent to survive an apocalypse of speech, I'd say Canadian. It's a good stand-in for almost anything.

My favourite accent, just for pure comedic reasons, is my own native weegie accent.

EDIT: Not literally my own accent.

Extremely manly american accent.
Think Marcus Phoenix.
But honestly, I like Australian, but not English accents.

I think the Irish accent is the best by a long shot. Could just be the fact that all my female friends find it sexy.

Yeah no, that was not Australian, that was the American attempt at Australian that they always mix up with South African. We only have ourselves to blame for it with Crocodile Dundee (and Steve Irwin a bit) but when people talk about liking Aussie accents, that is not the accent they're on about.
Oh c'mon >w< I knew that. I'm an aussie myself. Everyone loves to take the piss, though. We've made it so easy to do, as have all the other nations *chuckles*

Hmm...my opinion, it'd have to be Jamaican. The idea of Jamaican secret agents is just too cool. Second Scottish, third Swedish, Norwegian and Austrian. Forth Russki...

Score one for Mother Russia!
Agreed. Russian always sounded like the best kind of accent to me: strong , yet classy, yet sexy.

I voted Russian, because I was thinking of which one sounds sexiest. Russian... whew.

However, I think that Irish accents are really fun to listen to. Same with "Sooth Efrican" ones :p

I was talking to this one girl...OK, hitting on this one girl and her mom called, and all the sudden she busts out with this Australian accent. I about melted right there.

I also like a French accent, and certain areas of the UK. Although I'm big on the Irish accent too. And German. Although I had a Russian friend, and his mom looked like the real life version of Ivy from SC...that was pretty hot too. XD

A woman Australian accent.

A girl about my age came to visit us from Australia a year ago with that voice. Needless to say, it was one of the cutest things I had the pleasure to be around. I made sure she knew.

And she called me cute a few times. No big deal.

Russia hands down. I would make a Soviet Russia Joke but I can't think of one.
In Soviet Russia, accents speak with you!

I voted Australian, although I'm not entirely set on it. I just find some female australian accents to be incredibly sexy. Although depending on the tone, they can get annoying.

A Southern US CAN be a very cool/sexy accent, depending on who has it, but it can also be one of the most irritating accents depending on who has it.
