Poll: best current gen sandbox game?

I loved GTA4 and SR2, though Prototype might have a shot at the number one spot. For now though, I'm sticking with GTA4.

Now I haven't played all of these games, but Saints Row 2 is EASILY the most fun I've had for a long, long time. Its got the most freedom I've ever experienced in a game.

I wouldn't even have described Assassins Creed as sandbox.

Anyway, Saints Row 2 there are SO many activities. I've had the game for months and still play it sometimes. For example I didn't know until a week ago that if you stand on a car and wait for it to move you can begin the 'car surfing' activity.

I'm gonna go with Saint's Row 2. Put Satchel Charges on your buddies helicopter and detonate them when he takes off with Friendly Fire OFF. There is nothing more fun than watching each other spin out of control.

Well I've got to go with the flow on this one. My choice is definitely Fallout 3. The game is great, its immersive, the world is awesome if not a little lacking in colour, walking from one side of the map to the other takes a very long time and with the DLC's its even better.

Note: How can people be voting for Prototype? It isn't out yet. What ever happened to "don't judge a book by its cover"?

Red Faction: Guerilla. It's sandbox, isn't it? If it is, it should definitely be an option.

I was thinking of saying that as my vote, but its not out yet. It does however look like the game that Mercs 2 should have been, which means it should be pure fun and awesome.

Anyway, Crackdown gets my vote, I love the feeling of power you get while leaping from building to building taking out thugs with each bound. Now if only I can get that voice over guy to shut up for five seconds!
