The 90s because human progress was at it's greatest in the 20th century at that point.

If in a hundred years you asked about which decade of the 21st century was the greatest, I would definitely say the 2090s.

90s, hey... we've got some kind of civilisation recognisable to a 21st century dweller. Much cleaner air. Your own choice of music and video formats. The rise of the internet. Fall of the iron curtain. Space telescopes. Reasonable peace for a time, if you ignored iraq and yugoslavia. Etc. It still had a ways to go, but you could survive there happily in a groundhog day style if transported there.
This guy knows what's up. If anything, there are periods of inactivity and mistakes in human history, but never periods where there is not progress.(or even periods where we don't learn from mistakes)

1990-00 : End of Cold War, Me, Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, One of the Jonas Brothers...

...I take it back, the 90's were the worst. KILL IT WITH FIRE.
I seem to have miss read the calendar, because all of those artist came into the mainstream in the 2000s.
That means there are two possibilities: either she mysteriously got it all wrong, or she's talking about their birthdays. Considering she threw herself into the mix and she probably never came into the mainstream...
That would make sense if she said WW2 happened in 1889.
Yes, indeed, you have to decide between claiming the root of the problem is bad and claiming the problem itself is bad. There's no way you can do both or even alternate between the two when talking about different, unrelated events.

proabition, Cold War, World war 1 and 2, Global Depression, Assassinations, The Civil Rights Movement, Etc.
Wait a minute, the civil rights movement was a bad thing? And don't we have a global depression right now?
Oh bah as much as people like to pretend it isn't as bad as the Great Depression, Hell were bouncing back as we speak. As a whole we are gaining jobs and The legislation behind the Civil Rights Movement wasn't bad but the violence surrounding it was.

I was a kid in the Eighties. Win by default.

The Teddy Roosevelt years featured a couple of major economic downturns (including the Panic of 1907, the worst financial crisis for a hundred years---including the Depression.)

The teens featured World War 1.

The Twenties? Rocked except for the last two months, if you liked your cities with organized crime flavor.

Thirties? Ugh. My grandfather (89 and kicking) told me all about them. It snowed all year long and even if you lived on top of a mountain you still managed to walk uphill to school.

Forties? Sorry, I don't care how cool the Ink Spots are, a major world war does not a "great" decade make.

Fifties? Scary.

Sixties? Scary for a different reason.

Seventies? Thank the gods for the sluttification of women or I wouldn't be here, but I'll pass on dreadful hair, worse fashion, and music? They can't all be Stevie Wonder.

Eighties? I was a kid. Childhood Me = Auto-Win.

Nineties? Well, I did have a truly obscene amount of sex, but...

I'll have to go with the 80's since I was born then, but I grew up more in the 90's.. but not that I remember it as the best of times.. Nintendo (as a video game company) started in the 80's, but Miyamoto was born in the 50's..

40s. Okay, okay but at least it had huge positives and created a good foundation for the rest of the decades!

Reminds me of this

Edit: Sorry, she, not he

While I wouldn't put it past myself to make such a mistake, I was referring to the fact they were all nineties spawn. I myself am 6 days older than Lady Miley of Cyrus. To eliminate a problem, you must tackle the root of it.

and; 'cha, jaaa, Mainstream is like, too mainstream for me, comprendo? I , like, subvert the mainstream?
