So escapists, I was wondering, which kind of threads do you think starts the Worst flame wars, the most stupid arguments, the most fanatism.
Relegion tends to be a pretty touchy subject cause lots of people seem to have very strong beliefs in their god/the lack of a god.
Since this is a subject where it's almost impossible for people of one side to convince the other of anything (goes both ways) It usually just ends up with people trying to sound smarter by using fancy words, without actually saying anything that hasn't been said 100 of times already
politics are also a place where people seem to have strong convictions, though I do find that people are more willing to listen to each other, and argue logically, even though they won't agree with their "opponents"
Halo could've been put under console war as well as relegion, but it's kinda special so i think it deserved it's own option.
From what i've learned from the internet, Master Chief seems to be the Jesus of this millenium, lots of people are fanatically devoted to him, and would split your head for saying anything bad about him, while others share their level of devotion, only they love to hate him instead. This gets even more complicated by the fact that some PC gamers will automaticly hate console shooters and PS3 owners who will auto-hate xbox exclusives.
Console War is, in my oppinion, the most stupid thing. "PS3 is for people who don't care bout money" "360 owners must love red rings" "Wii owners are all little kids or their soccer moms" Etc. Etc.
We're all gamers, but apparently battling each other IN the games is no enough by a mile. So some people chose to take a big part of what they love (games) and hate them because they're not on their system of choice. Seriously, what happened to hating jocks for beeing big brutes? c'mon people.
So, let me hear you, what do you think is the worts flame-bait, and most importantly WHY?
