Poll: Best Game Series Ever?

Perhaps there should be one for each genre, people will be basing oppinions on different elements and experiences.

With that said, for JRPGs it goes to Final Fantasy.

Jees no need to throw out hate. While i may not love the Metal Gear series its never the less full of great games. Just because someone els doesnt LOVE your game doesnt mean their wrong.

Because infact your wrong, Half Life may be a great series but the fanboys like you are a descrace to said series.

I also can't help but saying that you shouldn't use the word "disgrace" unless you can spell it right; after all; ever heard of "Disgracing the English Language"? I know that might be a bit harsh; as more likely than not you're not actually a native English speaker.

Oh; and you can hardly tell me not to throw out hate; considering that's actually what you just did.

The Fallout series. I don't think many franchises can survive shifts in developer and gameplay style as well as Fallout has. I do miss putting active time bombs in my inventory and watching the street urchins who choose to pick my pockets explode, though.

Im gonna go ahead and say Mass Effect.

Sure the game had its flaws and crappy framerate at points but there has never been another game (bar Oblivion) that has truly made me believe in the whole setting. The game is just all sorts of awesome.

But Mass Effect is only one game and no series! You're breaking the rules! D:

Nope, because they have released parts of the Mass Effect 2 story THEREFORE IT IS NOW OFFICIALLY A SERIES, and I will agree with Mass Effect as the best series.

Two games make no series! I know there is even a thrid one announced, but that makes them a trilogy at best. That does not count as a series! D:

Surely there is no contest? the Metal Gear Solid series. Technically, it is the Metal Gear series, but no one has played the first two, so who gives a shit? A runner up for me would be the Silent Hill series, who incidentally, was managed by Konami, as MGS was. Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Tenchu gets a friendly wave from me, but it's MGS that does it.

Granted, I'd throw my vote in for the Tales series, for being consistently good, and having a few of my favorite titles ever, but still.
