Which epic movie saga is the best. I'm a Lord of the Rings man myself but I have to say Harry Potter is also awesome. No bitching about "teh books were better!" because it just pointless. Personally I just think it had the best mythology and overrall plot.

edit: On a more serious note would Mad Max count as a saga? It has one,loose over arching plot and A recurring set of characters.

Harry Potter. Can you think of any other film series' that lasted for 8 movies and people still love it by the end and the films are still awesome?
