I have this thread to thank for inspiration, or source of plagarization (depending on your own point of view. I'm a pirate, I admit it)

So who do you think is the best? I will add news sources I see enough call for in the comments.

Currently the options in my personal order of weird arrangement are:
FOX, MSNBC, BBC, Escapist, Newspapers, Colbert Report, Daily Show, Comedy Central.

What do you mean the selection is biased? Not every Daily show fan will vote for Colbert, but I had to vote for both at once.

EDIT: Swapped Newspaper out, put Onion in, as newspapers only had two votes and I've gotten three requests for the Onion.

All news is going to be presented in a biased way. At least Comedy Central is funny about it...

I'd say BBC or The Daily Show, which is depressing because one's not American and the other's not supposed to be for news.

How about BBC news?

I used to respect their impartiality much more before they were slightly neutered by the British govenment, but I still find them easily the most watchable.

But rolling news really bothers me. There isn't enough news to fill the schedules 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Jesus, even war became boring eventually!

My best news source is actually the Escapist... I don't pay attention to it unless it's posted here...
except that one building that completely rolled over when they attempted to demolish it...

I removed 60 minutes and added BBC.

1) Reuters
2) the BBC
3) Escapist (gaming and related sunjects only, occasional cool crap)
4) The Telegraph Newspaper
5) The Independant Newspaper

At the risk of being annoying, I avoid American news companies like the plague, they're far too vulnerable to reactionism and the prevailing political views of the day. They seem to rely on cheap shocks too much as well.

I'd say the BBC, I listen to it on the radio at like 1 in the morning when its on for the U.S.

The Escapist is where I get my gaming news, but thats pretty much it.

Get me enough calls for it and I'll replace MSNBC. Fox will have to stand because I want to see them with the minimum number of votes (yes I'm a prick with a slant MWHAHAHAHA!) I'm hoping they never get a vote even though I won't take them off the list.

Newspapers seems a bit vague, it would be like saying "News Shows" and thus it is kind of impossible to judge against the others.

I was trying to throw the dying industry of print news a bone?

Fox shouldn't even be on this list but yes keep them on to see how few votes it gets.
Really the Daily Show is a more reliable news source; at least they don't lie outright, they just creatively edit.

Would've liked to have seen Newshour on the list. It's on PBS - as I said n another (similar) thread: you can't trust any news that depends on sponsors and ratings.
But BBC comes close enough for me to vote for it. At least they cover what's going on in the world, not crap you should be looking up on youtube.
