Okay, let me put it this way, not everyone knows what parts are better than what parts on PCs nor does everyone know how to set up their PCs/PC monitor's to support 1080p+ or the game they play to show the resolution to 1080p+ or keep their computers from crashing or even know how to run a basic OS or whatever on the computer.Eggo said:Lots of extremely dumb people use 30" monitors. My ignorance right here is another example of other people's ignorance, but I'll leave it at that since I don't want to derail the thread.Richard Groovy Pants said:Jumplion, all you need to do to actually have High-Def at home is buy a monitor that can support it.Jumplion said:Okay, let me put it this way, not everyone knows what parts are better than what parts on PCs nor does everyone know how to set up their PCs/PC monitor's to support 1080p+ or the game they play to show the resolution to 1080p+ or keep their computers from crashing or even know how to run a basic OS or whatever on the computer.Eggo said:Lots of extremely dumb people use 30" monitors. Dell Tech support shows us how stupid and ignorant some people can be when it comes to PCs.
When Eggo said that about dumb people having those monitors it's because they've become popular.
When someone decides to buy a computer they need to buy a monitor and every monitor nowadays that's above 70$ already supports High-Def.
You really don't see people going to your local hardware shop and choosing to buy one of those old CRT monitors for gaming do you? They usually go with either an LCD or a recent kind of monitor...
Also I was being facetious on my last post, I know it's lack of knowledge, why would the OP be lying about it?
Oh and since you actually like learning about this things, lookey here if you're interested in pixels [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel].
A pixel is a pixel, they have standard dimensions.
I'd have to point to your internet connection and/or what games you were playing, when etc. I've played countless hours of XBL and the only time I ever had interrupted service (Outside of things attributed to my own network), is last Christmas/new years when a metric shit-ton of people got new Xboxes and turned them and connected to Xbox Live. COD4, specifically went from somewhere, if i remember correctly, around 30,000 people to having well over 300,000. The number of people playing skyrocketed and Xbox Live needed to rebalance itself properly.Indigo_Dingo said:And don't say "Its liable to lag and crash". Plus, I really don't like the controller, but that's personal preference.
I have had some laggy games on PSN but never as bad as hosted servers on MSatans big name ones. Not to mention I can host games on PSN with zero lag unlike live when lags up a storm.Indigo_Dingo said:And don't say "Its liable to lag and crash". I blame your internets, sir. My Xbox Live experience is only laggy or likewise bad there are things attributable to my connection, (IE other people) which I fix and no longer have problems. As I've said, whenever I use the PSN on my network it's category five hurricane of failure.Bulletinmybrain said:I have had some laggy games on PSN but never as bad as hosted servers on MSatans big name ones. Not to mention I can host games on PSN with zero lag unlike live when lags up a storm.Indigo_Dingo said:And don't say "Its liable to lag and crash". More times its bad coding problem then the actual systems fault with the ps3.PersianLlama said:QFTAmnestic said:It's a games console which can play games which offer enjoyment during the otherwise grey and boring hours of our lives.
Oh, and to the people above who say the PSN is laggy and worse than Xbox Live. When I had an Xbox 360, I'd crash all the time, get exited out of games and disconnect. It happens a lot less on my PS3.
I guess its a toss-up. Same problem with my freind. Every time we play survival on MGO he lags out every fucking time. While I lag out quite often on XBL I very rarely have that happen on PSN.DirkGently said:I blame your internets, sir. MGO is a separate network from PSN I believe. That's why you have to sign up two accounts. If it's laggy it's Konami's fault there.Bulletinmybrain said:I guess its a toss-up.
