I was originally planning on just having this be a Firefly vs BSG thread to help settle a long running argument in my group of friends, but i decided to expand it to Sci Fi series in general.

I personally think its BSG, great story, amazing characters, spectacular space battles, and probably the best soundtrack ever.

Firefly. Then again, I'm not that into Sci-fi TV shows...
I'm crossing my fingers that the upcoming Star Wars one is good and not just successful.

Stargate SG-1 with Stargate: Atlantis coming in close second.
I've been told to be cautiously optimistic about the new Stargate: Universe.

X files is the 2nd longest running sci-fi series of all time and yet it doesn't feature on your list. Add it.

Havn't watched many of these, and none religiously, but I always enjoy stargate when it's on.

Where is the original Star Trek? That's complete sacrilege to the sci-fi genre not to have pretty much where it started (no, it wasn't the first, I know, but it was what made sci-fi big). You wouldn't have any of the choices without Star Trek.

ok original star trek is bad get over it
i like voyager but i already had TNG and DS9 on the list which i think are better
X-files and Eureka don't fit the space based thing i mentioned earlier
