Just remembered, though they're not "Superheroes" but Gargoyles, I loved that show so much. And I was a huge fan of Beast Wars as well.

I'm a huge Batman fan because it started with Batman: Animated Series. Batman Beyond was pretty good, I was not a fan of The Batman (though I did enjoy some of the later episodes) and Batman: Brave and the Bold I'm still on the fence, but that musical episode made me more in favour for it.

You know what DC hero I'd love for them to do a cartoon on? Booster Gold (looking at Joe Matsuda's avatar reminded me the awesomeness that is Booster Gold), you could do so many cameos from big name DC heroes. Or they could do a Blue & Gold series (Blue Beetle [Ted Kord] and Booster Gold). Or maybe a Green Lantern series... which they probably will with the movie coming up.

Where is Kyle Rayner, that little woman-killing *****?

PS: If any of you actually think Captain Planet was a good show, I will stab you with a goddamn spoon. Why? BECAUSE IT WILL HURT MORE GOING IN.

Deadpool. For the love of god and all that is holy, Deadpool.

Also, no matter how much he's been whored out in crossovers, Wolverine. He's just awesome.

Batman: The Animated Series

Also, I am quite partial to Darkwing Duck and Earthworm Jim as well.

Captain Planet was my childhood, so I have to vote for it, even though I prefer X-Men comics.

The recent TMNT series (which I quite enjoyed)
I have to agree on that. Sure, I grew up on the series from the 80s, but the recent series (started in 2003) was better in every single way - anyone who read the first few comics know that TMNT can't live on humor (and pizza) alone, they need some grit.

As for the best animated superhero series ever, that one has to go to Batman: TAS, no doubt about it. Still, there were others I thoroughly enjoyed:

TMNT (2003) (as mentioned)
90's Spider-Man
90's Iron Man
Batman Beyond (best cartoon intro of ALL TIME!)
X-Men Evolution
Justice League
Teen Titans
The Mask

And probably some others I can't think of right now...

X-Men '90s should have made that list. I just re-watched it, and while the voice acting and animation are a lot worse than I remember, there are still enough memorable moments and mature themes to make it worth the trip down memory lane.

By episode 2, one X-Man is dead, one is tortured offscreen, and one is in jail - and nobody jokes about it. That's the kind of drama you just don't get in a children's show, and that's what makes it the best.
