Poll: Best weapon in Half Life 2.

I really liked the design of the pistol for some reason. The Gravity Gun is great though - although I didn't feel the need to use it as much as I'd of liked. But that's probably more to do with my play style, and not a criticism at not enough oppurtunities to use it.

Is anyone NOT going to say Gravity Gun? I mean, in reality most of HL2's weapons were generic and boring other than the absolutely amazing Gravity Gun.

Magnum, baby. I get 8-9 kills on average with a mag when I pick one up. Usually 2-3 with any other weapon.

The gravity gun is what makes Half life 2 better than half life 1 and it makes it easier to understand what game your playing too

The gravity gun is probably the most versatile. And when you get the upgraded gravgun, it's basically a "solve-everything device" from there.

Magnum. I love that with the magnum, skillfull shots are very well rewarded. Little ammo means you have to make every shot count, and a kill is more satisfying. I love my Magnum.

The magnum is my favorite, for its stopping power at all ranges. It's like a shotgun that can be used for sniping if necessary. I have to admit, though, it's always satisfying to give a Combine trooper both barrels.

Also, does anyone know where the secondary barrel of the shotgun is? Firing both doesn't change the animation, and though there is a second tube underneath the primary barrel, if the shotgun is modeled after the SPAS 12 (which it looks exactly like), that would be the magazine.

The pulse rifle is my favourite. The sound effect, the recoil, it all makes it feel like a really heavy and tough weapon. And for tight situations you always have the alt-fire to rely on.

I love all weapons though, they all feel just perfect. The light weapons actually feel and sound like light weapons, and the heavy one's the other way around.

And the gravity gun...well, that's a whole 'nother class. The upgraded gravity gun can go away though, that thing is just too easy.

anyone here ever get annabelle? it's the gun that Father Gregory has. you can easily get it either: at the part where he throws you a shotgun, you mount boxes up on the corner of the building closest to him and jump to touch the edge closest to the gun; or at the end where he opens the gate for you, don't go under it. put a NONexplosive or NONbreakable object under the fence, then go under it. father gregory MIGHT hit that object and die. (half life 2 physics) go over there and pick up his gun. its a double shot rifle that is EXTREMELY accurate and powerful. it uses Revolver ammo. to get more ammo, press these buttons: Y,B,A,X,White,Y,X,A,B, and white.Hold reload button and fire button for "automatic Revolver"

I never really used the Gravity gun unless I needed to.
Sure it was cool but to be honest, a double blast with the Shotgun works just as fine and without the need to look around for something to throw. It was the one gun I used alot of the time yet always seemed to have enough ammo for.

I love the Magnum, it's powerful and satisfying to use. Fascinating how one round from the Magnum can take out just about any Combine soldier, yet it takes a dozen or so rounds of the SMG to take them out.
