2. Made an exclusive contract with PC manufacturers to pre-load his product
3. Makes his own products obsolete so you have to buy the new versions
4. Knew where to invest his money to reap the greatest returns on investment

Thief and monopoly maker?
Seeing as how he runs one of the worlds biggest charities (which is thankfully not a religious one that pushes it's views onto people in exchange for the resources), I hardly see how a few past bad choices make a difference.

Considering that most of the reason that he can support the largest charities is because he is a thief and a monopoly maker I think it makes a lot of difference.

Hey, Xerox and Apple had their chances to do something about it and they didn't. Now it's too late, so tough for them. Although if he really is a time traveler you could probably get him on insider trading...

they did something about it, he was tried by congress and they found him to own a monopoly and then didn't do anything about it, even though monopolies are illegal. Anyone think some money might have changed hands there??

Did I say he supports "charities"? No. I said he runs "one" of the worlds biggest charities.
He and his wife are the founders of and run the "Bill & Melinda Gates Charity". Which raises tons of money to help people in developing countries like Africa. Which is the reason he released a swarm of mosquitoes at the TED convention, saying "not only poor people should have to experience this". Because people are dying all the time from mosquito spread malaria in Africa.

Second you should learn what the word "Charity" means.

They actually did. It just wasn't at all effective.

And, where's the Alien Time Traveler option?

I am quite aware of what the word Charity means. And its great that he uses his ill-gotten means for good, but it doesn't change my opinion of him.
