Congratulations topic creator you have turned this lurker into a poster I hope you feel bad.

on topic I'd say no since it'd be an insult to improving your self, also I'd either use EMP devices(if one happens to be lying around or just a comically over sized magnet ( I could make one if necessary) and laugh at all you disfigured bodies with metal sticking out of them, then I'd have lunch , then I'd destroy you all. also the issue of rusting and worn machinery is an issue it wouldn't just be old people replacing their hip joint.

No, because then there'd be some kind of fucked up clause in the proceedure, where they put those fucking RFID chips in my scrotum or some shit.

If it wasn't for the fact that I refuse to ever have any kind of surgery ever again, and the fact that I can't think of a practical use for any bionic parts, I'd consider it. But I'd probably say no.

Maybe one bionic eye, kinda like the girl off Doomsday has, but not popping out because that is kinda weird... But, with all that fun stuff like infared, night vision, etc.

I'm already partially "bionic", I have a titanium replacement hip joint.

But for starters, if cost was an issue, I would go with bionic legs, hips and spine. That's the foundation for body strength right there. I wouldnt want bionic arms if every time I went to chuck something heavy I'd be throwing out my back. With bionic legs/hips/spine, I would be able to run faster, go longer without resting, and have the physical foundation for greater feats of strength. If I could go all out, I would love to be 90%+ bionic, think a Warhammer 40K Mechanicum Magos.

Bionic eye(s), left arm and possibly brain.
That would solve my seeing and memory problems, and i would have a bionic arm.
YEAH!!

Well sure I'd go with a bionic eye seeing as I wouldn't really have much to lose anyway. Let it be known that I deserve one more than all of you though. Well, probably most of you anyway. If there are any blind Escapists here though then fair enough; they can go before me.

With any technology, I wouldn't want my bodily functions to be dependent on patches.

Seriously.

Although with a bionic eye, that has all new relevance.

NO MORE CONTACTS! And I could fly!

But the most important thing is that I would look like the Elusive Man!

I'd get those arms Adam Jensen has in Deus Ex: HR.

And the bionic legs.

And the bionic eyes.

And his (likely not) bionic coat.

And that (almost definitely not) bionic goatee.
