I really enjoyed Bioshock, and I think with more options other than just campaign it could win GOTY again.

I really hope 2K does not screw this up. Bioshock was great, and with the new materials and ideas available, screwing this up means the biggest bite in the ass EVER. Not only for us the gamers, but for 2K as well.

Anyway, I think this will be scarier, but not as good. They're tying to be like nazi zombies, more survival horror-ish.

You play as a Big Daddy and you can use a plasmid and a weapon simultaneously. I'm immediately sold. Hell, I even picked up the original BioShock and ran through it after reading the details on the sequel.

For the record, it can't be Game Informer's April Fool's joke. That's on page 45 (beginning of the Game Infarcer section). Kind of a tradition with them. I've seen other magazines do similar things, like GamePro doing LamePro for April.

You already did play as a $!BIG DADDY!$ in Bioshock.

Remember the last level.

Correction, you were in a big daddy suit. That does not make you a big daddy.

I say - BIG MEH.

I tried playing Bioshock. Really. The first time was Christmas 2007 at my cousin's house. Got bored after 3 hours.

Then there was a big sale on Steam, bought it for 5 EUR (...still too much, compared to $ price) and then played... 5 hours. Just after first boss, I didn't have the energy to play it anymore.

I really liked the first one (I did play it 12 straight hours), but really sequels have not exactly had a good reputation in the past, and for good reason; I really hope it turns out ok, but I won't be holding my breath.

Bioshock was a pretty good game. Solid horror (puts Dead Space to shame), interesting story, well crafted visuals and good gameplay. Not my kind of game, and it does get dull near the end but I still enjoyed it for the most part. I can't say I'm overly extatic over a possible sequel, but I'm definitely positive about the prospect.

I think people worry too much, I am looking forward to the game and I don't think I will be too dissapointed.

Although the first game was great, taking it in another direction won't necessarily ruin it.

Indeed, especially as for some bizarre reason the arms of the suit were off so you could still see your cardigan-covered arms.

Yes it does. You went through all the physical modifications that the other daddies did.

You did not have the drill, you did not have the gun , you could have the prosess undone later. But more importantly, your arms were normal.

You were physically linked to the suit, and had your voice permanently altered to the big Daddy frequencies.

my initial reaction to any sequel is that it will not stand up to the original, possibly because I played Insomniac's Ratchet and Clank series before Future: Tools of Destruction reared its ugly head.

You had a used suit, and the suits can only be used properly once. Again: you did not have the drill, you did not have the gun , you could have the prosess undone later. But more importantly, your arms were normal.

Also you had the ablity to do more than protect little sistors and were normal (Normal footsteps and vision) during the final fight.
