Set in the near future (2025), Black Ops 2 tells the story of David Mason (Son of Alex from BlOps 1) as he fights the chinese in a new cold war. According to Treyarch, they've gone and researched what kind of weapons will be used in the future and have thus included:
- R/C Machine warfare (Drones, etc.)
- AI self-aware vehicles / tanks
- Electricity-powered weapons (As oppposed to gunpowder)
There's also going to be a bit of path-choosing thrown in, such as choosing whether to snipe or assault the objective. Along with an RTS-style minigame (called Strike Force Missions), these non-linear parts can 'drastically change the game's ending'.

So... what are your thoughts? Sounding good? More of the same CoD BS? or somewhat mixed? I personally think it's a good step forward for the franchise to change things up a bit, but they may need to change a bit more to get me really interested.
