i dont understand how it can be, when it says i have full bar connection and still does it

I know, you need to be a tech wizard to understand the exact prosses.

Remember Treyarch dosn´t control the internet. Nor do they support dedicated server on console versions. (that´s a fault though).

A shitload of different internet setups and IP restrictions makes the lag. NOT Treyarch.

Incorrect, it could be the connection of any one of the people playing on the server/lobby or a symptom of inneficient netcode or the server being overload or poorly set up.

Not owning Blops it's very hard to judge which it would be, but I've found peer to be peer gaming in general is laggy as hell. It's usually compensated for by giving players massive hit boxes to shoot at (Halo games) or extremely generous auto aim (CoD and Battlefield), but it still rankles having visible lag between pressing a button and seeing the effects, even if it has little bearing on the outcome of the game.

I am just thinking "press select, and change it to local" most of my games work fine, there are still alot of couldn't connect/lost connection but very little lag.

actually its not that, i dont care about getting killed in matches, it doesnt even cause me to get killed alot, only really once or twice, its just annoying when i try to move forward and i get pushed back...and sideways....and through a wall...

Maybe you're getting connected to servers that aren't ideal for you? You could try setting the search options. I think you press either X or BACK (360) when the leader of a lobby and it comes up with a small menu box. Change it to Locale or Locale Only and it should find games that are closer to you, which should lead to less chance of lag.

Checking your gateway connection settings could help, but I cannot off the top of my head begin to suggest things to help you with that. Google or a technical forum could help.

Personally, I only get lag if my friend hosts a game and his sister is watching videos online. That's the only lag I've had really. Some games I've had the "connection interrupted" thing come up and shoot me everywhere before coming to an eventual stop, but that's happened to me in every CoD game I've played online. Other than that, no complaints about connections.

I haven't noticed any more lag in Black Ops than i did in modern warfare two, halo reach, or halo 3. About the same, less if anything. My internet sucks, so i get lag no matter what i do.

How can one experience lag in a game where they can't connect to matches?
Nah, unlike Modern Warfare 2, I can connect to matches this time, as long as there is less than, say 8000-10000 people in the playlist.
And I haven't been getting lag as bad as Modern Warfare 2.

When you're at the multiplayer main menu, look at the bottom of the screen, it should say "Party privacy/search preferences" set it to just your region. Before i found this i was stuck in games with americans stealing host making it a lag fest.

Yeah, for some reason, my kill credit (+100 kind of stuff) seems to pop up after the dude dies, so the online may be having problems.

This cod blops is the worst game ive ever purchased, pc versions, does any one know If treyarch is going to fix this crap I played today it was so bad today that i couldnt even play longer than 15 min without it freezing up or connection prob what a waste of $$$$$$$$$$

hmm i dont have those problems hardly at all..the only time i do have problems is spawn rape. literally my nemesis was their best played for 3 matches in a row, in which everytime i had 7 kills or so against him and he had 3 or so against me, and for some odd fucking reason, the fourth time, i killed him twice then he killed me once, then the game decided it was my turn to be buttfucked and it spawned me right in his path 8 times in a row. not even fucking kidding, i was 2-8 by the time the game stopped spawning me in front of him and after that it took the whole match to get back up to 10-10 and i was past anger, i was in just shock with how bad that spawning was.

beyond that, mw2 was a billion times worse with connection issues and spawn points and hit detection.

I've had to stop playing it because it was just getting frustrating.

One game your bullets kill people quicker than you can shoot them, and the next you're firing round after round into bullet-sponge enemies who seem to have an immunity to hit detection.

I got too fed up of watching ridiculous killcams where I seem to be aiming somewhere completely different to where I aimed on my screen.

Don't be stupid.

If you don't think lag has an effect on the gameplay of COD then you are either very lucky and get host all the time, or are very unobservant. It has a huge effect, sometimes it works to our advantage and others it screws us.

The host advantage in Black Ops is massive, I thought it took far more bullets to kill people the first day it came out, then I got host and was dropping people with one burst of the M16.

yeah i heard it was quite bad on the PC, i really dont understand why game devs publish games that they have really only focused on one console for it to perform at its best. it would be nice if for once an online game like this, actually performed great on all consoles. not just, good on the xbox, meh on the PS3 and just plain horrible on the PC.

It's the servers, everyone I know and have talked to is having the same problem with the lag and connection errors and matches quiting in the middle because of a loss of server connection. Treyarch really should stick to zombies, no way they can say they could not have anticipated the server load for gods sake.

Why does my game keep crashing after 2-3 hours of playing? It getting really annoying....
