In my ongoing quest to decide what I want for Christmas, I've decided that I want (In addition to ME 1/2) one of the new FPSs. But I need to know whats better, Black Ops or Medal of Honor? The main thing I'm looking for is a good campaign, but if the game has an at least half-decent campaign + great multiplayer, I'd consider getting it (such as Halo Reach, which I do indeed have). So what game is better overall, or better in one particular way, and why?

Go for Black Ops. It's a more finished game as it didn't have to be rushed out before Black Ops o_O

Black Ops, campaign and multi. Medal of Honor was one big "meh" from me, it didn't seem like anything special. I'd say Black Ops is a bit better in its campaign, while Black Ops blows Medal of Honor out of the water with its multiplayer. Of course, if the previous installments haven't won you over with its multiplayer, I doubt this one will (Regardless of the balance fixes or not).

Black Ops campaign was dumb and loud. And quite often boring. Didn't bother with MoH after reading reviews.

Black Ops, a hundred times.

Much longer campaign
Interesting X-Files meets Apocalypse Now storyline,
60FPS
Awesome setpieces
Far more fluid responsive controls

Multiplayer depends on your taste. Black Ops is faster and more arcadey with tonnes of customisation, MOH is more 'realistic' and gritty.

Call of Duty, for me, was more of the same and kind of dull. It was more like a big-budget movie than a video game.

Medal of Honor, on the other hand, was something new and I really enjoyed it. I even think the multiplayer's better (way more balanced).

Black Ops.
It's leagues better than Modern Warfare 2 (the question everyone is asking on the inside) and the campaign seems to be getting a lot of mixed responses.
Personally, I like the action, but I agree that some missions lose their appeal since they've been done the same since Call of Duty 4.
Online has been revamped quite well, and a lot of balance issues have been fixed.
Not to mention the zombie mode(s) and bonus hidden minigames...
