Hey escapists,

So I was scouting around Youtube when I stumbled upon a bunch of bodybuilding videos. When I looked at the rippling muscles, bulging with veins the first thing I thought was "Holy sh*t that is f*cking gross and unnatural. He looks like a leathery brick." Because of this I decided to venture down into the comments section to see if there were other people who agreed. To my surprise there was not one single person. All the comments were something like "Hey bro nice pecs but you gotta work on those delts and lats!"

My question to you is do you think bodybuilding is cool/attractive? and why?

Not really that cool/attractive. Someone that big isn't really good looking to me, and they often times don't have the type of personality that I would find attractive. They would also probably spend more time at the gym than with their significant other, meaning they wouldn't be very good at keeping a relationship.

I think all things should be taken in moderation. Now, I work out quite a bit, but I try to keep within reason, and a good proportion. Body-builers take it way too far.

As for women body-builders...

I think that too much body building is gross, but just a little bit of body building instead of leathery brick kind of body building is okay. Like sort of big.

Fitness is one thing. Having to walk like a gorilla because your arms are now too big to hang at your sides normally is quite another.

I honestly don't like body builders in that way. It's cool that they decided to find a hobby that actually benefits their health and all, but I just don't have any interest in people that look that way personally.

As hot as a ripped guy is, when they overdue it it's fucking scary.
I agree with this pretty much, well not so much ripped as in muscled. Personally, I like to be able to see collar bones. I think makes a somewhat reasonable cut off line, for chest size anyway. I also don't like overly defined abs.

There is a level when it becomes too much but there is the nice middle ground

Look at the face... More specifically the jaw and the chin. That "woman" has to have either been a man earlier in "her" life, or simply born with some sort of testosterone-defect.

OT:
Nerds need to get out more ;)
Sorry.
Bodybuilders have a tendency to overdo it - I know several who are doing just that. One of my best mates have bigger tits than his girlfriend, and it's not like bitchtits or anything, he is just super-fucking-trained. To the point where it gets a little freaky.

With middleground in mind, though, bodybuilding is sexy for men(Correct me if I am wrong, girls) but should only be used by women very little. Anything above what could be considered "athletic" in a woman, is a turn-off for me.

I never found it attractive. It's not that unattractive, mind you, but in my opinion there's a line after crossing which you start looking slightly silly. Have you seen those huge pulsing veins on their arms?

However, seeing how I'm a transhumanist and all for various ways to alter one's body, I don't mind. I think that wasting so much time on body building is not really worth it - but then again, nothing is worth shit if you think about it. At least they're doing something they probably want. Although I'd never bother to do it myself, I see little interest or benefit in doing so.

Although I'd imagine there wouldn't be a whole lot to talk about with someone who devotes that much time to working out and drinking protein shakes. Unless they are also, I dunno, writing poetry/novels in their heads while doing so. I doubt that they'd have much time for other activities, is what I'm saying.

I am a girl and I shall correct you :) leathery brick. That is all.
