I vote for real books. The tangible weight is satisfying. The smell can be seductive. It can be dropped and still function. You can spill liquid on it, then dry it out and still read it. You can put it near magnets and not have to worry. Hell, you could use magnets as bookmarks. Books don't turn black in daylight. They are made from renewable resources, last longer, don't require software updates or batteries (except at night), and they won't suddenly delete themselves because you forgot to pay a subscription fee.
