Becasue if wish to get annoyed at someone else in a game because they do it differently, then pandas. Also people piss me off on MW2 so it's my way at getting back at them. Afterall nearly all the games I end up going into are hacked full of boosters anyway. Also I am never going to get some of the titles and emblems and I said I aint goping to prestige till I get all the ones I can before prestiging. Plus people can see how much skill I have by playing the same match as me. It's like a black belt being beat up, a belt is only to hold your trousers up, true potential, which is hidden, is what counts.
Wh... What...

Would it help if played Modern Warfare 2 to understand this?

Um...i still think its wrong

Edit: For those who don't know what boosting is, it's where people get toegther and fillup public match spaces and help each other get XP and complete challneges in online games in order to rank up quicker
Ooooh...

I better get out of here before people realize that I've done that in the past...
Thats right you better run *shakes fist*

I think that it isn't really fair to those who play the game fairly.

The phrase "Getting there is half the fun" also applies to video games and by boosting, you cut that fun in half.

Yeah but boosting in games such as World of Warcraft is perfectly fine, in my opinion, particularly if it's just friends helping each other get to higher levels quicker.

Of course it's wrong, the game was designed to reward players for playing, and even more so for playing well.

But I don't particularly care either, as far as I'm concerned the people who do it are just ruining the experience for themselves. If they're not bothered by it, then whatever..

I don't particularly care, but that is likely due to me not playing online. I can see how it sucks the fun from 'legitimate' players, but I can also see why somebody would do it.

Also, 'boosting' is officially my new word for today.

is that like the servers on TF2 and places where people just focus on getting achievements? or on stat-padding. whatever you want to call it.

I guess I can see it being useful if youre impatient, or lose an account and dont want to start all over again. But overall, I like the thrill of playing the game by itself and getting the challenge. I do it sometimes though

I like African Grey Parrots, they're more awesome than Pandas. Oh yeah, don't care about boosting, or those who do it.

I personally have no problem with people running matches where all they do is boost. They paid for the game so they can play it however the hell they want to. As long as they leave the boosting out of normal games than it's all good.

On the other side, am I the only one that has serious problems with the way FPS' are starting to lock 75-80% of the weapons and equipment? People rant and rave about such-and-such RPG being a grindfest and than load up MW2 and grind... I mean "play"... for hours just to get a slightly different gun. It's probably just me though because every reviewer seems to think that forcing players to grind in an FPS to get different guns adds "length and depth".

I kinda look down on people who do it, but I think it's a bit extraneous to try cracking down on it, or say avoiding someone like the plague because he did it.

You shouldn't boost it is completely bollox if your so into actually playing the game why don't you try playing it with the other guns and continue play it until you actually get other said guns increasing your playing time.
The keyword here is "Fermented"

I'm not much for it, I enjoy unlocking things the normal way, gives you a goal to strive for.

honestly, it's your game, it's your experience, as long as it doesn't have negative repercussions on people who don't do it I really couldn't give less of a damn
