So Borderlands 2 is set to come out June 30th according to Amazon [http://www.amazon.com/Borderlands-2-Playstation-3/dp/B0050SX9VO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8]. I personally can't wait, but I'm hoping that people that invested hours and hours of their lives in the first game will be rewarded in the second. Also hoping for a better ending too.

So, are you going to preorder Borderlands 2? Wiould you get a collectors Edition? Discuss!

I am not going to pre-order but only because I never pre-order anything. I will buy it the day it comes out. At least four of my friends will be as well, probably a lot more.

Ehhhhhhhh I'm kinda torn.

I most certainly will not deny that I played the crap out of an THOROUGHLY enjoyed BL 1. The expansions were absolutely brilliant (except that Crimson Armory was easy as hell to get bugged and glitched on the final mission). Think Zombie Island was my favorite expansion...the intro/ending movies were HILARIOUS!

That said, however, I fully understood and couldn't help but agree with the one major criticism of the game: good GOD is it repetative! Every quest: "Go here and clear out the bandits". The end. You might be hunting for a specific random item for someone, but it all boils down to "The bandits are there...go kill'em." Which makes the game pretty much just a mindless shooter: here's a buncha guns, go shoot stuff with'em.

But then again, like I said, that formula did succeed at helping me absolutely MURDER countless numbers of poor, innocent hours and days that never did nothin' to no one. Which is why I'm so torn. By the time I was done playing BL 1, I was actually pretty sick of it...but for the time that I was playing it, I would have called it one of my favorite games of the current console generation. It'll probably come down to a coin-flip, and I mean that in all honesty. I just hope that if I do get BL 2, the game isn't absolutely ruined by people coming in my game and throwing god-mode modded weapons and shields at me then leaving. xP

I loved the shit out of the first one.

Actually, Borderlands 2 might be the only upcoming game I'm not cynical about.

I enjoyed Boderlands but I'm not all that hyped about a sequel. I may get it though, I don't know.

Nope, I'm gonna buy the original for 10 bucks and then wait another year to buy this one.

FPS/RPGs and especially MMOFPS' usually boil down to this anyway. Borderlands tried it's hardest to mix things up with different locations, playable characters and guns, guns and more guns, but in the end it still had to stick to the basic formula which felt like grinding at the worst of times.
