Ok now I'm getting Borderlands eventually but I want to know if I'm the only one thinking the 4 player co-op will be similar to L4D's co-op, but with RPG elements. I've noticed that there will be multiple missions and side-missions so it looks like will have more single-player value than L4D. Plus it will also be interesting to see how the 4 player online parties will work, e.g. how players will be assigned to the characters.

And my friend has lost all enthusiasm for Borderlands becasue looking at gameplay footage he thinks that enemies have too much health.

So I guess what I'm asking is how do you think the online co-op will work/what are you expecting from the Borderlands 4 player co-op.

I'm hoping that it works enough like Left 4 Dead that I can drop into a game, maybe finish a quest or two with some random players, and then head off to do whatever. I can't decide how I want the leveling system to work, as far as your own character are concerned. Does your share of the EXP go only to the character you're playing as, or will you have to level each person individually before you'll be able to take higher level quests? What happens if someone else takes your high level character, leaving you useless and a waste of resources?

I want this game if only to find out if it will be really amazing or just amazing.

I think that it will be amazing and the health bars are looking like a perfect idea. I mean it's not like the game could be any more un realistic than it is now so why bother with the Bar=Fail formula.

Op(2) I think that the gameplay will be tight, like the fallout with online support i always have been dying for =D

I think ogodalex and I have the same hopes for the game. I have to get Borderlands simply because all of my regulars are, so...that's pretty much that. I do think it will be interesting.

What can possibly have more SP value than L4D?

Just to clarify about the classes, anyone can play as any class they want. You can have 1 of each, or four of one, or any combunation you want. You pick the class you want, and then that character is persistent across single player, online, split screen and system link.

It seems the co-op will play more like Halo, as you can run around and climb into vehicles and such, but it could also work like Diablo... this game has always screamed Halo meets Diablo to me and that's why I'm so interested in it.

Borderlands looks like Fallout 3 (environements etc.) and the combat is said to be much like Diablo 2's. I'm getting it. I am also thinking about getting Brütal Legend, but that will have to wait.

I'd describe it as World of Warcraft meets Left 4 Dead, as you have a character that you create and can drop in to any game you like regardless of how many characters there are already there - think of the characters as classes with a specific avatar rather than unique characters.

I agree with the Diablo + Fallout thing. the "MILLIONS OF WEAPONS" is a bit of a laugh, because that's like a traditional RPG saying it has "MILLIONS OF WEAPONS" when its really just a bunch of different adjectives stuck in front.

That said, I'm getting it release day.

My guess would be that it will follow the Sacred 2 formula. That you will be helping the host finish their campaign but when you go back to yours it won't effect your game (other than loot and stuff).

By watching footage of the Borderlands gameplay, I think either the people who are playing suck or they're playing on a high difficulty because they're constantly either going down or on extremly low health.
