Before I start let me remind you that the Star Wars Universe is as primitive in technology as ARCHER'S time in the Star Trek Universe. That was 200 years before Picards era. Star Wars still uses cheap shields, and LAZERS which Star Trek abandoned two centuires ago for far more power Phaser technology which I think is sound and heat combined... ok well one more thing..there is a comic made by a fan that beautifully plays this out... A borg cube (through a mysterious anomally of course) ends up net to the DEATHSTAR.

Tie fighters and Tie bombers with its primitive lasers and technology are no effect to borg ship, the borg slice through death star shields and teloport a queen and some drones on board before the death star fires its main cannon (which though SHEER SIZE DESTROYS THE CUBE before it adapted) the borg adapt to the lasers of the troopers and begin assimilating all life on board. Vader decides to go kick ass but his light saber soon becomes useless due to drone shields adapting to it, so he uses force powers to crush and kick ass his way to queen... He mind controls her and through her makes all the borg self destruct..(this I dont believe would work since the borg is many voices within a hive mind, but since there are few borg there I guess ill let it slip)...

My question is...in a real war (minus vaders force powers) would the borg with its vast numbers and great technology completly wipe out the empire? all of SW univers even?

It's an interesting question, but the Borg are really good at adapting to energy weapons, and virtually all of the Empires weapons are energy weapons, although I think the Death Star will still have enough power behind it to destroy a Borg cube. It would all depend on whether the Empire can work out that their weapons are ineffective, that physical weaponry is the weakness of the Borg, and be able to adapt really quickly, as there are plenty of projectile guns in the Star Wars Universe, and even proper swords that some Jedi use. I think a single Jedi with a physical blade would be virtually unstoppable, as they also have all the force abilities as well.

But I think the Borg would still manage to win, as they have the element of surprise with their immunity to the Empires weapons, and all they need to do then is to get the momentum of their invasion going. Assimilate a world, get their spaceships, go to a couple dozen other worlds, repeat until the universe is pretty much all taken over.

Since the empire all use the same type of guns with probably the same frequency pattern and the Borg can adapt to a frequency after a few hits, yeah the Empire is fucked. Not to mention that the Borg have shields that can actually defend things like vents and weak points, unlike a certain moon like space-station.

The thing about the Borg is that they had to be made something of a cheap dick-move opponent in order to threaten the Picard-mobile. Even if it didn't start that way, it ended up that way. The empire doesn't have a prayer, but then the universe cries foul on the Borg to begin with.
