So, yesterday the spinoff show to the quite popular ABC show "Boy Meets World" got its first trailer. The new show "Girl Meets World" will focus on the life and antics of Riley, the daughter of the original show's protagonist Corey and his love interest turned wife Topanga.
Personally, as a kid I was obsessed with this show, I thought it was very real in its portayal of the characters, spoke to us kids more as young adults rather than "kidifiying" the issues, and overall was a show that I clung to growing up. (Also, the reruns are the only reason MTV is ever on in my house anymore).
My primary hope for the spinoff is that it stays true to the spirit of the original and treats the audience as young adults and addresses real world issues that can be relate-able to the younger audience (similar to how we had Corey's nuclear family juxtaposed with Shaun's less than ideal situation, and how those issues shaped the character).
