Through out the years, the music industry has been down to 2, IMO, in producing quality music. That is the Brits and the Americans. Both have brought out quality groups and artists that people most likely have songs of both nations on their music player.

Which people give out better music?

Music vs Music, soon Nation vs Nation and soon then, the hate thread it becomes.

P.S Both, I listen to a great mix of music from many different places.

So, which countries spit out the best music?

Most of my music is from Europe or somewhere in that direction, so I'd go ahead and give it to that entire continent. Symphonic Metal ftw.

Well, the UK has brought out the best(IE Beatles and Iron Maiden) but the US brings out more good artists.

I'll take either, as long as it's good. While I have a big thing for British bands (Zeppelin, Sabbath, AC/DC on technicality, Deep Purple, Jeff Beck) Some of my favourite and most influential musicians are American (Slash, Aerosmith, Chuck Berry). All I care about is quality

Ah, a fellow Alestorm fan!

I'm astonished to see no votes for "American" so far ^^
EDIT: so it begins

We'll see, hopefully this place will retain the 'minimal trolling' forum this forum is known for =\

My favorite artists are from America, but there are more good artists from the UK.

I do hope so, as the discussion is a good one. The only problem I see is that it only takes two idiots (which this being the internet are in abundance) to cause a complete derail of a thread.

Anyhow. After having a peak around my Ipod I came to the conclusion that I do listen a large section of both countries music from a very large time scale. Though of course the types of music tend to come from one or the other, an example being All of my Rap music is American as I hate with a passion English rap. Then again whatever amount of new rock/indie/new bands with guitars essentially bands (like my chemical romance, the killers etc) is on my ipod is english, as I hate with a passion bands like My chemical romance and fallout boy.

Cannot beat Alestorm. They're lovely guys too. I love being Scottish. Best music scene in the world and some of the nicest band members you could ever hope to meet!

Iron Maiden, AC-DC, The Beatles, Blind Guardian, Led Zeplin, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Lepard, need I say anymore in Europes defense. America, the Jonas Brothers and Hanna Montana (worse than having nothing).

I had to vote other, because it has to be both. I love Iron Maiden more than any other band, but the all the rest I listen to are American (with a couple exceptions, but primarily).

Hard to say, but I hardly think that it's narrowed down to two nations. However, I'm going to say America. If it was all of Europe vs. America though, I'd probably go with Europe.
