Poll: Buying maps for Starcraft 2

Am I the only one put off by the announcement that quality maps that are user generated and blizzard made will cost money? It has always seemed to be a staple of the blizzard RTS games that Use map settings games became an enjoyable way to spend time. Now if I want to play a custom map I may have to pay? What are the thoughts from others on this issue?

Yes, unless the person who made the map is given a royalty.

You don't have to pay unless the creator of the map chooses to charge for it.
I'm guessing most maps won't be charged because like most maps on WC3 they take a good chunk of testing/ playing from the community to shape it into something great. And depending on the costs people will be wary of putting down cash for a custom map that they might hate off the bat.
I'm more concerned about battlenet being another gaming "hub". I already have steam running, windows live, and now battle net...Does every other thing need to have me constantly informed about my friends, achievements, scores, etc?

I think it depends on the map creator, but I'd like it if they were free.

If the map creator deems he needs money to continue making user made maps, I gotta say that said person is ripping you the fuck off.
