I need some help here.

Usually when i dream, they're stupid, and hard to follow. But the one i just experienced was so clear, that i just had to let my fellow Escapists here about it.

So, it went like this:

I had just spend a day at a college fair, and was making my way towards the exits. But i forgot which one i came into, so i went searching for doors, hoping that one would an exit. Then i come to a door that's positioned in a way that made me bend down to see it. Then a lady appears behind me, with two children. One's a baby girl (she was an infant), and the other was a little boy (old enough to walk and talk, but still a baby).

She was trying to find an exit as well. So she followed me, but stayed far behind, and muttering racist comments, loud enough for me to hear them, but i did nothing to defend myself. As we finally reach the exits, the little boy says "I want to get closer to it" (referring to me as if I'm a animal in a zoo) and, despite his mother's warnings, he runs up to me, and hugs my leg, while saying that "he's never seen one up close before".

I just laugh, and tussle the boy's hair before the mother snatches him off me. I open the exit, finally making it outside. but the lady was still behind me. Then two other ladies approach us, one is pregnant (with twins or triplets possibly; her stomach protruded quite far), and an Asian woman, also with a baby in her arms. The pregnant lady passes us, while the Asian does not. Instead, she stops not to far in front of me.

The two ladies say something behind my back, then the first lady i encountered walks up to the Asian woman and starts verbally assaulting her, while the Asian lady takes steps back, obviously not wanting any trouble. I stand frozen in my spot, unable to help or interfere. But when the thought of racism finally pops in my head...

My mother wakes me up.

Now I've never before experienced a dream like this. This one was so clear, yet, so hard to understand. I'm hoping someone here could interpret it. (and don't just blurt out "Racism!", because it seems like it's more to it than that.)

And as a side note: Have you ever experienced a dream before that just made you think about it? Please post your experience.

It means you need to get laid and want to reproduce.

Seriously, dream interpretation? It's a crock o' shit. Your dreams don't 'mean' anything.

Well are you a minority yourself might help us. If you are a minority maybe you mind is just amplifying subtle racist comments you've heard and if you are a majority maybe you were wondering what it would be like to be on the wrong end of the stick.

Stop smoking all that weed.

Seriously.

Really, I don't think dreams mean all that much although sometimes they relate to recent events. My dreams aren't very coherent most of the time, so meh.

i have no idea man.
I do believe dreams can mean things but, sometimes its just your brain going DFFMASDFARJEFAAJKEAMFEFEJWFEA while you asleep.

Though i dont "Dream" myself, i actually, and im not making this up, dream the future.
Ill be doing something and i have a major Déjà vu moment.
Most of the time what i dreamed happens the next day, there have been a few times where it was a week later i realized it.
And its mostly nothing major, like i sometimes dream that im playing a cirten game and the next day i realize i dreamed me playing it, but its so detailed, when i realize it and when i remember the dream, i actually dreamed what character i was going to play as, the stage or Level, and who my opponent character was going to be, and i always set the character selection for my CPU opponent, to random.
It freaked me out the first few times it happened but now im used to it.

Freud says you have an Oedipus Complex and are insecure about your sexuality.

Nietzsche says you are mentally not ready to become an Übermensch.

Dr. Phil thinks you need an intervention and has a house full of cameras ready to do it in. But the question is, are you ready and do you want it?

Mr V. Frankenstein thinks you hands are in excellent condition and since you are dreaming you won't be needing them anyways...

Seriously, dream interpretation is open to... interpretation. No one can tell with even fair certainty what they might mean to you, if anything at all. The human subcoinscious is just that messed up and some elements in dreams are drawn in randomly from you memories of the previous day. Or memories that somehow are associated with those recent memories. Or memories that are related to the ones that are associated with....

You get the point.

Hear now a curious dream you dreamed last night
Each word whereof is weighed and sifted truth.
What can it mean? you ask. I answer not
For meaning, but yourself must echo, What?

Interpreting what you saw is pointless, unless you believe that dreams are whispers of a destiny untold. Even if you did believe that, that a dream is more than biochemical brain activity, interpreting something as abstract as a vivid dream is beyond mortal knowledge. It is, for all intents and purposes, futile.

Maybe the people referring to you as ''it'' means that you think you are different/ strange. And maybe the boy is someone close to you you feel comfortable towards. The pregnancy/babies mean that you want to find a girlfriend?
I'm just guessing, and i know nothing of these things, i just wanted to say something else then ''dreams are stupid'' but it seems kinda obvious to me.
Anyway, my advice is to not take it very seriously. My dreams are never serious, and i never remember them for very long.

It's a pretty interesting dream, to be sure. I'd would be easier if we knew you personally, "Well are you a minority yourself might help us". Or your age, but I'm guessing you're in your teens, or early twenties at oldest, right? WIth what you've said, the most interesting part to me was that you didn't realize that the woman was being racist until you had exited through the door. Maybe the door is a representation of a trial or laps of time in your life. The dream might be showing the change you had from an innocent view of the world you had as a child to being aware of the cruelty and racism around you.
