Have you had an article published in the escapist?
I am currently reading over the guidelines for submissions and it seems pretty clear.
Pick a topic and query deadline, submit your pitch, and see what happens.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice that would help.
Even if you haven't had anything published I urge you to check out the Contacts page for details, then offer me any advice you have.

Also, if you have a link to any articles you have written, I'd love to read them.

My favourite one is the one with the dog. :'(
I assume you are referring to Jurassic Bark, the episode with Seymour from Futurama. That show knew how to tickle you funny bone while tugging at your heartstrings.

I've not had anything substantial published, I had some things published in local magazines and newspapers in my home town, there's not even a website for it.
I also got some stuff in my school's newsletter, again nothing special.

Nothing on the internet at all, but my brother is a reviewer I could ask him if you have any questions specifically seeing as you aren't getting much interest in the topic yet.

Just the college newspaper and most of my articles were either Sports or reviews of Albums/Bands. I'm not sure if I would have anything interesting or clever enough to report on games or gaming.

Make sure to brush up on AP guidelines.

And Futurama IS awesome.

For the record Futurama is awesome, but I voted "published elsewhere" for the purposes of the poll.

On topic: I've had a couple of editorials published in local papers. I don't remember what they were all about (this was a couple years ago) but the most memorable one was on the Sadam Husein trial/execution.

Eh...several editorials in a high school newspaper. They went over pretty well with the student body from what I heard, but I don't think of that as being really published, y'know?

Something I've yet to achieve in a meaningful way.

I don't think I'm a terrible writer, but I've never really had the will to submit, or for that matter, write anything.

I would love to submit something to the Escapist, but sadly i have the literary skills or a rusty fork. Maybe one day, maybe.

Oh and, WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!

I've had a letter to the editor published in a local newspaper. It was a rather long article and when submitted the editor said it needed to be trimmed back. So I went through and editted it and parred it back to the word count she required. When I sent it back to her she complimented me and said I had done a better job than she could have :)

I'm working on a couple of novels, but I'm not sure if that's the calibre you're asking. Although now that I think about it, having an article published at The Escapist would be kind of awesome too :)

Review of some female "friendy" equipment and clothing designed for watersports, and a couple of articles in my old employer's newsletters.
